In short: 1st timer + loved it.
In full: after a few local 10k road races wanted to get into trail running so had a go at this and wow what a great race some hard hills to run up but loved it and will be back next year.

In short: Well organised, excellently marshalled, fun day out.
In full: My first 10km .... hilly in places. Very well marshalled, excellent facilities. Hubbie and daughter definitely recommend the cafe!

 at the commentator who said I looked like a pink highlighter pen, LOL!

Would definitely do it again :)

In short: This is always a great race ! If you're bored with road running and want to try a trail race, this is a great initiation into trail running
In full: Loads of good points about this race :
1/Smooth organisation
2/Good support, especially on the sprint to the line
3/Smiling marshalls
4/Testing but not painful
5/Lovely forest venue

Added to this, the kids races afterwards make it a good family day out - over the last few years, both my kids have used this as their first experience of racing and are now hooked.Much better than a Sunday with the X-Box!
Also, if you are used to the usual Sunday routine of "do your race then get straight back in your car", its a pleasant change to see everyone hanging around either having picnics or lunch in the Cafe.

In summary - thanks Reg & Karen, great day out, you made NOTFAST runners very happy today, see you next year !

In short: Great race, beautiful scenery
In full: A well-organised, friendly race. It was a hot day so water stations very helpful and in right places! I thought the biscuits were a nice, unexpected touch!

In short: Pleasantly surprised
In full: Thought this would be a challenging nightmare but ran it only 15 secs off my (very flat) pb. A couple of the km markers were a bit wappy but will definately be back next year.

In short: Great Scenery and all welcome
In full: Organisation was good, easy free parking, lots of music etc prior to the race. However there were huge queues at the toilets and the start was chaotic. It was not chip timed so everyone was trying to be as close to the start as possible and it was a case of run for your life to find some space, however when the person in front of you is running with a dog on a lead that's not too easy! It was hillier than I expected but the scenery was lovely. It was humid so the extra water station was welcome. Marshalls were great too. It was also faster than I thought, probably why I got my PB in this run, trying to keep up! I would possibly do it again but would be more tempted if it were chip-timed.

In short: tree-mendous!
In full: A good day out in beautiful scenery...the hills got a bit challenging towards the end but my lack of hill training was to blame - I live in one of the flattest parts of England!
Very well organised, would like to run it again next year (after I've practised running up a few more hills!)

In short: If you go down to the woods today...
In full: A thoroughly enjoyable race in perfectly splendid countryside.

The trails aren't too tough - it's compacted stone for the most part with the occasional pebble and a short spurt on a completely unsurfaced path.

The marhsalls were encouraging and friendly.

The price maybe a little steep for a biscuit and t-shirt at the end though.

I'm looking forward to next year's race though and I'll be back.
