In short: A nice informal but well organised race
In full: A very enjoyable run with a killer incline lurking round one bend! The fact that proceeds are for an animal charity is a nice change.

In short: Enjoyable event
In full: I was particularly keen to support this race as it was in aid of an animal charity. Turned out to be an enjoyable event - well organised and plenty of encouragement from race officials.

In short: Well worth the trip and very well organised and marshalled
In full: The surface is easy hard-pack trail and far more interesting than most road races, and the profile is undulating with one surprise climb.

One of us had never run 10k, let alone raced it, the other is a habitual mud-plugger used to longer fell events and a bit of multi-sport. We both came away from this event full of smiles and chatter. What more can you want?

In short: Great new race with a nice backdrop.
In full: A bit hillier than I expected but still managed to improve on the time I set at my previous race (this is only my second race after a gap of several years).

Nice friendly atmosphere and the organiser (Bryony) was full of enthusiasm and it was nice to see a race supporting an animal charity for a change.

My only constructive critism would be that the fun runners seemed to have difficulty following the set out route!

Hope to do again next year :-).
