In short: Lovely day. Lovely scenery. Lovely.
In full: A challenging 5k but good fun. Marshals were very friendly. I heard quite a few complaints about the quality of the goody bags which were mosy stuffed with paper and it seemed that a few people were disappointed by the lack of medal for all but the 2k fun runners.
My only gripe was that I thought it a little deflating (pardon the soon-to-become- apparent pun) that organisers were bringing down the finishing line/arch before some of the 10 mile runners had finished. I wouldn't have been very enthused if I was nearing the end of a challenging race to find the finish line gone.

In short: Tough, but the scenery makes up for it. Shame about running out of goody bags at the end,

In short: Enjoyable race with great views, a couple of tough hills and a joyous last couple of miles
In full: Beautiful course with some stunning views. Nasty hill from the start but it is a joy to finish the race speeding down the same hill! Pretty well organised overall, especially for the inaugral race, and the marshals throughout the course were friendly and encouraging. Nice t shirt at the end although the goody bag wasn't up to much. Overall a really enjoyable race - thanks to the organisers, marshals and Denbies.

In short: Glorious day, gorgeous scenery great race
In full: Will be doing this race again. Fairly organised - could have done with megaphone at start as could not hear announcements or start gun. Challenging climb up above the vinyard with teh reward of a gorgeous view down and accross to box hill. Undulating terain keeps you on your toes with some steep down hill sections. The final climb back up above teh vinyard is tough - zigzagging up the grassy hillside. Then final 2 miles down hill to the finish, to collect useful momento - tecnical T-shirt (though they had run out of goody bags by the time i finish which was slightly disappointing). Overall great race.

In short: Good day and good for first timers
In full: Very friendly and good atmosphere,no directions to start and couldn`t hear the instructions before the start and I was only 10 feet away. kilometer markers would be good. Poor goodies bag and what happened to the medals, seemed only the 2K fun runners got them and the quality of the T shirts varied on the size you needed.

In short: Nice scenery, challenging race, good marshalling
In full: A nice area to run and the first time i've been in the area. Will be back! It was the 1st time as a 10 miles race. Well Marshalled and quite good organisation, although agree with comments about lack of signs to start and loos by the start, which had no queues! Good to have them, but with signs, this could have reduced queues inside and reduced the frustration to some! Medal was advertised, but a nice, decent fitting t-shirt was welcome as a prize. However, i do agree with other comments that the 'goodie' bag was pointless as it was just full of leaflets that went straight to recycling. This is a sore point for a lot of participants at various events, as it would be better and certainly encourage more participants if the entry fee of some events was reduced and a medal or other useful mementoe was given for finishing.

The course was a delight as it had plenty of off-road sections with a tough climb to start and a couple of smaller ascents during the race and some good descents. Signage and marshalling were very good. I was somewhat dismayed by the amount of 'road' that we had to run on as i had assumed from the pre-race advertising that it was almost entirely off-road. In fact, this was probably about only 60% of the route. It could potentially be a key feature on race calendars if some of the 'minor' issues are addressed in a positive manner. This is not a criticism, just constructive feedback that will hopefully help the organisers improve the race for the future. It would be shame if it didn't continue as i'd like to return.

Many thanks to all the organisers, marshalls and helpers.

In short: Up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down!
In full: My first running event. The 5km course was entirely in the vineyard so was pretty and interesting. Pretty much running either up or downhill all the time. Good mix of competitors from speedy running club types to famillies with kids and some first-timers. Marshalls were helpful and supportive. Facilities before and after the race in vineyard visitor centre were excellent - cafe, shop, nearly enough toilets!
