In short: Very enjoyable race, apart from the freezing weather
In full: I love the seaside so this was a must for me. The organisation was very good and everyone was helpful and friendly. The big bag-drop/changing tent was a great place to shelter from the cold before the start! The hill was a challenge and the bands and piper added to the jollity. All round a great event.

In short: My first ever race so have nothing to compare it with. Suffice to say I found it well organised, well supported and was proud to have been part of it. Can't wait for next year. be part of.

In short: Friendly, well organised, scenic in parts, boring in others, one horrible hill :-)
In full: Organisation good at start though we were kept waiting in the cold for extra 5 minutes after start time. Marshalls etc all very friendly, some going the extra mile. Banter with spectators and public along footpaths great (I was in fancy dress). The hill needed to be walked up but otherwise flat. Loads of photographers but who do they work for?

In short: Mostly a lovely scenic route and extremely friendly crowd (runners and supporters).
In full: This was my first half-marathon and I really enjoyed it despite nursing an ITB injury. Everyone was very welcoming and although I would've liked to see a 2:30 pacer, it was fine as I just fell into step behind a group of girls going at a similar pace.

The hill at mile 3 was a killer, even though I practised it a couple of times beforehand and regularly run hills in Ally Pally. The descent is an amazing pay off though; fast, meandering and with a beautiful view waiting for you at the bottom :)

The crowd and marshals were great and really motivating, and the drumming band was fantastic! Lovely that some of the fast finishers stayed to cheer on the rest of us despite the cold :)

The downsides were the dodgy route round the back of asda, and that at the very end when there were still people finishing after 3 hours they looked very lost as the crowd and marshals had left. It would be helpful if the route markers were a bit more obvious there, or if the finish was adjusted to avoid the awkward turnaround.

Overall though a brilliant day out and a fun race :) Would recommend it to newbies like myself!

In short: A good race on a nice day. Improving every year
In full: The hill is a challenge. But once that's out the way it's a fairly flat course with good PB potential. Bit boring around the harbour.
Couple of grumbles: roads weren't closed around the harbour,so had to run on the path and start line wasn't in time zones,so it was easy to get in with the faster runners. No finish line photos.
Couple of good points: drummers by the bandstand were great as were the marshals. Very encouraging and friendly. Especially the girls on mile 9.
Overall I thought it was a nice race. Smaller scale than Brighton or Hastings but improving all the time. I would run again!

In short: Love this Half, this years added extras e.g bag drop, chocolate and bananas at the end, extra bands along the way have lifted it to the next level.

In short: Well organised, good crowd and nice scenic in parts. Definitely recommend
In full: Really enjoyed this race, particularly as I set a PB. Easy to get to with good parking. Start was well organised with easy bag drop. A good crowd along the route with some great volunteers along the way, bringing a smile to my face. Particularly two girls doing mobot and bolt!! Only moan would be that my bag was put in the wrong place and took sometime to find it, whilst I was getting cold. Other than that, hope to be back next year for another PB.

In short: Other than one mega hill, flat along the seafront, well organised, small and friendly
In full: Well organised, parking facilities great. Marshals and entertainers really encouraging and helpful. Pacers easy to see, whole race small and friendly. Good mix of club runners and beginners. Last few miles a bit boring round residential Eastbourne. Hill between miles 2-3 very challenging but easy to make up time on run back down. Overall a good event, would run again
