In short: My first time at this event....... but not my last. You can see why it's a classic!
In full: A great half marathon early on in the year. A great opportunity for you to see where you are in advance of the year ahead.

A well organised race which makes its way around some beautiful little villages and countryside. Although the course is a little 'lumpy' there's nothing too serious and the great downhill section for the last two miles make any climbing all the worthwhile.

Enough's already been said about the wind - nothing much the organisers could do about that ;-).

Overall, well organised and loads of friendly energetic marshalls. Well done Helsby, a cracking race. See you next year!!

In short: When you enter a longer race at this time of the year, you really appreciate the need for slick organisation and a friendly atmosphere and it certainly didn't dissapoint

In short: A blustery day out, but a lovely race.
In full: A well organised race, and a good route. Strong winds some of the undulating sections between 7 and 10 miles tough. Nice views along route. Last couple of miles running down to finish brilliant. Nice medal. Didn't get my pb here, but did a decent time despite hills.

In short: AN UNDULATING CHALLENGE
In full: undulating course, but good pb potential with nice downhill bits to make up for the ups. Superbly organised before, during and after racing. A four villages gym bag, unusual medal & a mars bar at the finish....nice.

In short: A credit to the organisers
In full: An excellently organised half in blustery conditions. Well done to all those marshals who braved the wind and kept cheering us on.

In short: Bigger and better every year
In full: Another excellent start to the year, the race has expanded to a field of 2,000 without losing any of the things that make it a great race. Still feels like a friendly little race.

In full: A friendly, well organised race with good facilities for changing, parking etc. Many thanks to the organisers, marshalls and spectators who braved the blustery and occasionally wet conditions
