In short: The friendliest of friendly races
In full: The clue was in the title 'Hit The trail'. I knew it would be a trail race. But part of me had ignored that fact. My legs quickly realised it though! Started on the shoulder of the leader for the first 1.5 miles, but he left me soon after to toil in 2nd place for the rest of the race. I was kept going by the friendly marshals and the great support along the way. My legs nearly died going up the last hill, but second place was worth the effort. And the £30 prize will help boost my charity fund nicely. Race 2 of 32 for me this year, on to Preston and the 10k on the 23rd. Thank you Belle Vue Racers for a very pleasant Sunday!

In short: Brilliant marshals!
In full: This was my first time at this event. I was incredibly impressed by the organisation and even more impressed by the support given by the marshals all over the course. The route was very scenic and had some challenging slopes in places including the 400m drag up to the finish. Great value for money. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks.

In full: Been away from the organised race scene for a while, and what better way to get back into it, fantastic marshalling ( as usual ) done the last 4 years and always enjoy it, shame not a bigger turnout for what is a challenging but rewarding race. Well done Belle Vue Racers, and Andy D.
