In short: Well organised flat and friendly winter marathon In full: Mainly offroad with varying terrain - gravel, mud, tracks, and seaweed! Interesting views round the marina and Farlington marshes. Fuel stations were well stocked and well spaced - friendly supportive marshalls - (thanks for being out there - it was a cold day to be standing around for several hours!) Flat and easy to follow route. Friendly atmosphere - was nice to get support from the front runners as they passed us slow runners on the return stretch. Appreciated the voucher for a bacon roll and cup of tea at the end. Nice goody bag and medal for the entry fee. All in all a very friendly well organised marathon. Well done!
In short: Flat course made challenging in parts as runners have to run across shingle in places. Easy to follow course with plenty of drink stations. Plenty of parking at the start/finish making it an easy race to get to. Date of review: December 11, 2010

In short: Great fun, great run and great scenery In full: Thanks to all for the organisation of the event. Was my first half marathon and really enjoyed it from beginning to end. Was great to have an off road race and run along the shore, showing the non locals how lovely Portsmouth is outside of gunwharf quays! Great touch having the time chip, i have only been given those for the bigger runs like GSR none of the smaller road races i have done have had those. Would love to do it again :) Date of review: February 24, 2010

In short: A Massive thank you to everybody In full: A massive thank you to everybody who has rated this event so positively. Really enjoyed organising it. Same again next year. Im already looking to see when the tide is out. All of your points have been noted and will go a long way to making next year as good if not better. Rob
In short: A good race with a challenging final section. In full: To the young lady marshal in the red Corsa, you shouldn't park behind the start line and let 600 people line up before realising you have to drive through them to get to your marshalling point! Classic. Gave everyone a good laugh and set up a good atmosphere, especially when you managed to get stuck in the gravel! The race was good, although I'd agree with the comments on drinks stations being oddly spaced. Date of review: February 23, 2010
