In short: Excellent no nonsense race
In full: Marshalling good, well organised, no problems with traffic blocking movement. Would prefer water bottles at stations however as light plastic cups half filled are mainly spilled as opposed to drunk. The kid with the jelly babies in Blackmore... thanks!

In short: great marshalls, nice scenery, fast run if you're a fast runner (which I'm not). Really enjoyed it and would run again.

In short: My first ever competitive run and due to the excellent atmosphere felt like I had been doing it for years
In full: It was the first race I had ever entered and was surprised when I arrived at how many people were there and that a band was on hand to lead the way. It was very pleasant with a good atmosphere and looked like a village scene from the olden days. I have to say the organisation was very good, the route very scenic, marshalls very encouraging (more so to the lovely ladies but who can blame them) and all runners seemed to be enjoying themself. Having never run before the only thing I couldn't understand was why some runners take a drink from the water station and then stop dead so you have no choice but to run into them and why some 'older gentlement' seemed to think it was OK to ride bikes whilst talking to runners and forcing me over the other side of the road to overtake. The locals and crowd were excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed myself, so much so that it has made me want to enter more races.

In short: Great race
In full: Well organised event. Once out and about the villages were very nice and lots of local support. Route seemed nice and quick with no scary hills to worry about. One for the diary next year.

In short: My first 1/2 Marathon and I loved every minute of it.
In full: I was quite nervous, my first race, my first 1/2 marathon. Not knowing what to expect when I arrived, I soon found the atmosphere and the organisation brilliant. Though my one small moan would be not enough loos.I found myself at the back of a long loo queue and had to literally sprint to the start line so not to miss the start of the race. The crowd and marshalls along the route were fantastic and great motivators. I had a huge smile on my face literally the whole 13.1 miles even up the 'hill' in the last 1/2 mile!!. Many thanks to the kids handing out jelly babies, sorry if I was rather clumsy in grabbing them as I ran past.
In summary had a fantastic day and a fantastic run, finishing in under the 2 hrs 10 mins target I set myself. My first race was one I will certainly remember for years to come, and I hope there will be many more to add. A big thank you to all the organisers and see you again next year!!
