In short: Very well-organised - but more than 'gently undulating'!!!
In full: In brief, a good morning race, with excellent organisation, marshalling and route-markers courtesy of 'Purple Patch'.
The killer hill at the beginning nearly finished me off! The ground was hard, and there were plenty of interesting fox holes and tree roots to fall over, but at 7K I finally began to enjoy the race if that is the word for it! I would consider entering next year, but I'd prefer the big hills not to be at the beginning.

In full: Phew! being someone not too keen on hills and definately against running through fields of livestock, on this course I met both instantaneously. A very scenic route , mainly all off road which made for hard work with the rough terrain and steep up and down hill trails but enjoyed the lovely cool breeze and shade of the trees. I knew I was well away from a PB early on so at the 5k mark decided to slow the pace and enjoy. The most interesting 10k completed so far and very well organised and signposted.

In short: Well organised. Though hilly and tough going it is a lovely location to run.
In full: This race started with a 1km uphill climb through a field of cows. Being quite scared of cows I had some motivation to get up to the hill quickly but it was certainly hard work and made the first few kilometers tiring. The hills and also flinty uneven paths make this a slower race than an on road race but I enjoyed the challenge and the location is great.

Amazing organisation from Purple Patch as always, a nice goody bag, plenty of water stations and a shiny medal made this an enjoyable run.

In short: Another total success for the Purple Patch Team!
In full: So....PB potential? Only for mountain goats as the first 5K seemed to be uphill, but it was worth it for the second half! Some lovely running through leafy trails with hazards (such as roots etc) well marked and the route well marked and marshalled- although somehow at least one person did manage to get lost! At the end I commented "evil but stunning" but to me a road hump is a hill so it was rather a challenge, but a great event and all credit to Purple Patch, they are superb at race planning and organisation and nice goody bag and medal too! Do it next year (but do some hill training first!)
