In short: A good race & nice scenery
In full: A nice flat course along the seafront, which is traffic free. Good support and organisation has improved since last year.

In short: A must for the Essex/East London runner
In full: Fast (once you get past the crowded start), exciting run along the seafront. If the organisers can get a busy main road closed down for a couple of hours for this, then they should be able to get chip timing organised as well. Maybe next year . . .

In short: An enjoyable 10K with a great PB potential
In full: I was pleased to see that the unfortunate mishaps of last year were not repeated. Great route, friendly crowd, helpful marshalls.

In short: A good race for a PB attempt
In full: A really enjoyable race and an excellent opportunity to gain a PB. The route is nice and flat and condtions today were perfect; cool, cloudy and no wind on most of the route.

Yes, the lack of a PA system could cause a few problems with people starting in the wrong places, but with the addition of chip timing this could be overcome. ( There were reasonably clear markers for sub 40 and 45 etc. but not everyone would have seen these )

I'd still thoroughly recommend the race ( partcicularly as this was my first ever race last year ! ) to beginners and experienced runners alike as there can't be too many 10k's with PB potential and support round most fo the course.

In short: Great 10k
In full: This was my first 10k race so nothing to compare it to. Nice & flat surface. Friendly marshalls and runners. Although there was only one water station in the whole 10k! Wasn't good when I had a mouth like the Sahara...
Some really good looking girls involved too! ;)

In short: Well organised, reasonable crowd. PB potential
In full: Very well organised race. Good time banding at start (if people followed it). Very flat course along seafront.

No real problems this year at all. Good support from marshalls and crowd.

Could do with chip timing but apart from that good.

T shirt at end but no other goody bag.

Add it to your calendar.
