In short: FANTASTIC
In full: First time running this race. Well organised. Only took seconds to collect number and chip from helpful/efficient group of cadets. Lots of toilets. Arrived early so nearby parking was not a problem. Absolutely loved the course. Very rural. First half up gentle inclines. Second half almost all downhill. Great support from the public. Well done to the race organisers for coping with ridiculously wet conditions. This is going to be one of my favourites! See you next year.

In short: Good quality half marathon in monsoon conditions !
In full: Absolutely horrendous conditions from start to finish but couldn't dampen my spirits and enthusiasm.
Pretty well organised and marshalled although as a lucky blue car park ticket holder i found that actually getting through to this car park was difficult and confusing with all roads to it blocked, this was soon sorted out though when i waved my ticket through the window to the police officers who then promptly directed me through.
The bad weather however didn't deter me at all from having a GREAT race and i managed to smash my half marathon PB by a good 4 mins !!! and was also at least 10 mins quicker than my GNR time 2 weeks ago.
BIG thanks to all the organisers, marshalls and hundreds of supporters on-route who had to endure a miserable day to make this event a success.

In short: Great race, great support
In full: A great race with great support and good t-Shirt/Medal at the end. My day was slightly overshadowed by the baggage tent flooding and no-one moved the bags (they must have noticed) Having run in the rain for 2 hours it was not good to find my 'dry clothes' wetter than me!

In short: enjoyed it
In full: the weather was just awful, but I still enjoyed the run, well organised. excellent support by local people and marshall, especially the marshall that said we could still win even thou I was nearer the back than the front. That made my day and Im still laughin

In short: Not great
In full: For me, this was a good event let down by poor organisation. The weather was appalling too, which was obviously out of everybody's hands.

The route was ok in the main, but I didn't appreciate the narrow trails - even apart from the weather turning them into mud, they were too narrow to pass.

The start was rather congested, and I think the need to dedicate more room to each of the finishing time groups.

Despite my concerns with having to pick the number up on the day, that appeared to go smoothly for most. In my case, my number simply wasn't there so had to mess around getting a replacement.

Signage wasn't good for people driving to the event, in particular the route from the main road to the blue car park was coned off with no directions. A nearby marshal had no idea how to get to the car park.

On the plus side, the support from local residents was fantastic especially given the conditions.

In short: Well Organised Great Race
In full: Very well organised this year, started on time, smooth event even with course very water logged. Great support from marshalls and public in the very heavy rain. My only suggestions would be a later start time and run more through town center, either way I'll be back next year.
