In short: Decent race but probably due for a revamp
In full: What a difference a few years makes! First time I did this race there was a hailstorm and what felt like hurricane winds. This time around it was glorious, although it was cold and quite windy at times, I could actually take in the beautiful scenery.
The course was very flat, marshals were friendly and helpful, I liked the trophy but thought the hat was terrible, even a Fruit of the Loom style cotton t-shirt would have been better.

One comment to the organisers : PLEASE sort out your mailing list. Just because I enter one event doesn't mean that I want to get multiple emails every week encouraging me to enter the same 5 Human Being Active events, it is really annoying and the kind of thing that should be caught by your database administrator.

In short: Friendly marshals nice mementos
In full: Great everything EXCEPT my nice new white NB trainers were caked in mud by trudging through the event field. Tough against the wind but thats a coastal race for you. See you next year at the rugby ground.

In short: Very windy but worth it
In full: The event is still holding its head high but am glad of the changes planned for 2013.

The course is magnificent but now a litte tired and crowded.

Moving to the stadium should make an excellent change and hope they have a pasta party planned for the night before ;)

Great memento and loved the hat. Already had a golden shoe from another race but the second will proudly sit alongside it. No need for plastic bag that will eventually go into bin.

Marshals were excellent as always and it must have been tough for them standing for hours in such horrible cold weather. Its easy for us runners we move to keep warm so well done and thank you all.

Organisation was again slick and imrpoved on previous years. Well done

In short: Nice flat spring half with PB potential
In full: A few slight undulations but in my opinion this is a flat course with good pb potential.
Could do with some more toilet facilities as the queues got quite large and you don't really want to be stood queueing for half an hour before the run.
Finishers pack was a bit lame considering the price, although the trainer trophy was a nice change to a medal.
Getting out of the car park after the race took quite a while too, but the directions to the event from the motorway were good.
I will be doing this next year but only because of the new route and it is a nice run for the first half I do of the year.

In short: Nice event. Flat course. Few spectators.
In full: Well organised event, on a fairly flat course. The poor weather that was promised held off for the duration of the actual race, apart from a tough headwind all the way home from 10.5 miles.

Goodies were handed out without a bag (possibly due to bylaws), and were hence minimal. Comprising an engraved golden shoe, a cap, and a bottle of water. Free massages were available.

Some parts of the course were a bit on the thin side, and required single file traffic, where participants were running in both directions.

Not many spectators were to be found away from the start / end / 7.5 mile point, so it could feel a little lonely if there were no other runners with you.

Very nice on the whole though!

In short: Very very windy!
In full: This is the first time I have run this race and the weather didn't disappoint! I train on this stretch of coast so should be prepared!
I thought that the start could have been a bit better organised as (1) we weren't placed by ability, which meant that slower runners held up the faster runners and (2) I didn't hear the start gun (?) and only assumed that we were off because we all shuffled forwards.
The sports bottles were great, but please can the caps be taken off? My hands were wet/sweaty and it took an age to get into the drink.
I have always wanted a golden boot and now have one! This is the second welsh race I have run recently without a 'goody bag' is this because of the 5p charge???

The marshalling in the carpark has improved. I ran a race for life here a couple of years ago and it really did take a lifetime to get out. It was nice to be home 10 minutes after crossing the finish line!

In short: Good spring half with challenge and PB potential
In full: This race is a bit tougher than you think it's going to be when you first hear it's on a flattish coastal path. There are no big hills but quite a few undulations and the ever present wind - this year miles 12 and 13 were hard because of it. It's a friendly event and well marshalled. Probably needs a bit of a revamp next year as promised.

In short: Average Race, Bit steep in price
In full: Not done run this race before and having read the blurb on the race website, was expecting a little bit more. The course was pretty flat and had definite PB promise, however, the route is a bit dull. Yes its right on the coast, however you effectively run 3.25 miles in one direction, turn round, run back then run 3.25 miles in the opposite direction, turn round and run back to the start/finish. A lot of this is on a pretty tight cycle paths with runners coming towards you, making it a little bit tight in places. I think the plan for next year running from the stadium out along the coast and back again will be a vast improvement.
The signage from the M4 was excellent, however there were long queues for the car park resulting in the start being delayed by 10 or so minutes. The toilets were pretty badly placed as the queue merged into the starting pen making it all a bit congested.

All in all it was pretty enjoyable, however didn't quite live up to the organizers claims and the price was a little steep, but worth a look if you fancy a break from spring marathon training.

In short: Cold, wet , windy but fun !
In full: Nice route but slighty repetetive - final hill in the head wind was a tough one and agree with other comments about the hat - so naff I didn't pick it up. Water stations werent great - I had to cross the road to get some at the last station and it still had the lid on. Thanks to people who did turn up and support - I got a new PB so overall I'm a happy camper !
