In short: A really enjoyable race
In full: I did the final leg in a team effort and really enjoyed it. The uphill start was challenging but views along the way were stunning and it was great fun charging back down the hill.

This race was well organised and the marshalls were brilliant. Denbies makes an ideal location for the race HQ with plenty of toilets and a large cafe which gave those of us running the relay a chance to relax and have a cuppa while our team mates were running their legs.

Many thanks to the Events To Live team and all the volunteers for all their efforts in making this such an enjoyable race.

In short: Blooming good race.
In full: I was leg three of the relay (Ranmore) and headed two miles up the hilsl behind Denbies. The route is out and back so those coming down said hello and visa versa although some looked like a pressure about to blow. The best part of the climb is the views to the left, worth every metre of climbing. Not too gruelling but challenging.

The decent fast and furious. Like being a kid again! I'll do this again next year.

Every single Marshall were amazing, encouraging and smiling. Thank you.

Well done ETL. Brilliant.

Our team came 17th so thanks to Jules and Phil.

In short: Tough for an individual; bit easier for a team
In full: Heard there were some mix ups last year, but organisers seemed to have taken note. Loads of signage and marshals, so thought it was very well organised.
Some nice touches like gels being available at end of lap, and race director on the finish line to shake finishers by the hand.

Couple of constructive suggestions though for next year. Perhaps relay runners could wear a label or additional number on their back. For those of us racing for places we didn't always know who we were racing against. And perhaps a clock at the end of each lap or finish - not that important, but had no idea of time until the results came out. Could have worn a watch I suppose!!

Other than that, strongly recommended and will do again. Well done organisers.

In short: Excellent course, good water/energy stations. I liked the format
In full: The course was great, loved it but if a bit more of the 2nd loop could be made off road that would be even better but maybe the tracks don't allow for this.
Good format in that you can enter as a team of 2 or 3 or do it individually. Wish I'd realised my drinks tube had frozen solid before i'd passed the water station and not just after...
Hills were a killer but not unexpected.
There was a little confusion here and there but not helped by signs being removed so all is forgiven on that front.
Thanks to marshals.
Looking forward to next year's event please!

In short: Beautiful and challenging
In full: Despite the sub zero temperatures and a delayed train meaning I missed the start, I still thoroughly enjoyed this event. 1st leg was unbelievably tough, and my hamstrings felt ready to pop on the stony descent of the final leg! Friendly enthusiastic marshalling who looked freezing, but still kept smiling was inspirational. It was unfortunate that some people were sent off course, and I agree with the point that unless it's happened to you, then it's difficult to empathise, especially if you've trained for weeks/months. However I cannot praise this event highly enough. I shall spread the word and be back next year.

In short: Poor signage and marshalling tainted what could have been a good event
In full: Having partaken in the Denbies 10 event earlier in the year i had high expectations for the 3 molehills race. We had 2 teams entered for the relay. Sadly, upon arrival we had a feeling that proceedings were not going to go well having encountered numerous issues during the morning.

Comments have been expressed regarding the Marshall misdirecting people. That was ONLY ONE of the many faults that i personally encountered. Amongst the others; very poor route signage and many of the helpers and Marshalls not knowing the route of the course or being able to direct me to the Vineyard after the extra mileage when i asked them!!

I was one of those front runnres who did double the distance for leg 1 and was deeply affected by events on the day. I came away disillusioned and demoralised by what happened. Whilst i appreciate the tremendous efforts of the organsiers, marshalls and helpers in staging the event, i cannot simply ignore what happened. Until it happens to others who have commented about 'just a few front runners being affected', then they will never experience how profoundly it can affect people. Particularly given that our overall estimated time would probably have given us first male team place overall and that we all gave maximum effort in trying to achieve that. Clearly, the results will never be accurate and therefore the anticipated euphoria and positive impact just does not exist.

Personally, i've had many years of experience in racing and being involved in organising events to know what affect these issues can have on both the participants and the organisers. It works both ways. Perhaps the post-race evaluation will help to resolve issues so that they will not occur in the future, as this could be a good event and gow in popularity.

Having said all this, i do thank the many organisers, helpers and Marshalls involved in staging the even and attending in such cold weather. I know what it is like having been a Marshall, helper, etc. However, they must accept responsibility for the many faults and realise the impact it has had on those affected by the faults.

No doubt these commments will generate repsonse from others. But, as i mentioned, until it happens to them and they experience the affect it can have, then they will not know and therefore cannot provide a balanced and fair view.

In short: Perspective
In full: After having re-read my review (and the further responses) I would like to apologies for my comments, they were unfair and unconstructive.

I appreciate the work of the marshalls and organisers alike, to drag myself there at 6.30 in the morning not even to take part, would take an extra effort.

The scenary was nothing short of ideallic and having all change overs in the same position made the event far simpler for those taking part. To offer some constructive feed back could I suggest increased signage.

Again, apologies for previous comments.
