In short: Suprising value for money In full: I didnt expect that much from this event having booked only a week and a half before. I was pretty desperate to find one last event to try before christmas. So was amazed at how well the day went.
From the start parking was easily the least hassle Ive ever had from an event. Westgate is full of space. Turning up 45 minutes before the start I was happy to find a place only a couple of hundred metres from race hq. HQ was well organised and led the runners to the start line in time for the race. The race itself was flat and fast. I really enjoyed running along the coastline through Westgate and Margate (apart from the cold December breeze). It was pretty fast and only slowed by the strong wind. I cant fault the event T-shirt or medal at the end either. Both great value!
If I had anything critical to say at all I'd ask them to add timing chips and give the marshall on start line a bigger megaphone. I couldnt hear him at all.
Overall a great event! A must do Kent event! Date of review: December 3, 2012

In short: Wish the wind machine had been turned off!! In full: Overall the atmosphere and organisation couldn't be faulted, the weather was cold and windy but on the plus side it wasn't raining, the course was well set out and marshalls very encouraging and friendly, the potaloos were fine a small queue but no real problem, the grass finish did not help my knee but that is the only adverse comment I could have about the race. In short: LOVED IT! In full: Brilliant organisation, beautiful day, beautiful scenery, brilliant marshalls and WOW what a medal- so much better than last years, I came away thinking I was on top of the world ! so there Loopy person. Yes I would have preferred to listen to my music especially when I was flagging but it was known in advance on the race website so stop your whingeing !! Date of review: December 2, 2012
In short: Like running it hitlers gestapo camp! In full: Where to begin?
Got my number and pre race INSTRUCTIONS a few weeks ago. A very KURT letter , with so many instructions! No iPods / head phones! What a joke! A people where checking you where not wearing them! Well they never caught me, I had mine on under my buff! So nernernernerner! Kurt marshals, no atmosphere , very clicky and sterile. NEVER AGAIN!
I need to run to music , and asking people not to it total out of order! People where whirring there head phones under there hats, this caused no danger, we don't need nannying , we are adults !
Nice medal thats all it had going for it.
No chip timing which I find really naff! Date of review: December 2, 2012
