In short: Wish the wind machine had been turned off!!
In full: Overall the atmosphere and organisation couldn't be faulted, the weather was cold and windy but on the plus side it wasn't raining, the course was well set out and marshalls very encouraging and friendly, the potaloos were fine a small queue but no real problem, the grass finish did not help my knee but that is the only adverse comment I could have about the race.

In short: Like running it hitlers gestapo camp!
In full: Where to begin?

Got my number and pre race INSTRUCTIONS a few weeks ago. A very KURT letter , with so many instructions! No iPods / head phones! What a joke! A people where checking you where not wearing them! Well they never caught me, I had mine on under my buff! So nernernernerner! Kurt marshals, no atmosphere , very clicky and sterile. NEVER AGAIN!

I need to run to music , and asking people not to it total out of order! People where whirring there head phones under there hats, this caused no danger, we don't need nannying , we are adults !

Nice medal thats all it had going for it.

No chip timing which I find really naff!

In short: A firm favourite. TRAC to be congratulated again for an excellent package.
In full: Great organisation, great marshals who are focussed on the job but have time to offer welcome encouragement too. This is one of the highlights of the racing year. Well done Thanet, you even delivered on the weather this year - cold, a bit windy in parts but clear and bright - excellent running weather. Well done all and thank you.

In short: Enjoyable race with some pretty sea views.
In full: Very well organised as always. Enjoyed running along the coast. Running out and back - then out and back in the opposite direction (ish) - ensures lots of support at the start/finish area. Lovely shirt at the end.

In short: Race Director Comments
In full: As my TRAC treasurer and entrant coordinator have spent the time to leave a comment, I feel as the RD, I should also have my own voice.

Firstly Well Done to All Runners, without you there wouldn’t be a race. There were some fantastic times, loads of PBs even from those outside of TRAC.

A Special Thank You to the Team and Marshals, the club has fantastic reputation and you ALL help to make it; WELL DONE.

I was disappointed as I usually enter this race as part or my marathon prep each year but could not as the RD.

As for the toilet situation, my treasurer says it all really £1.25 per runner out of your £16 or £18, if you want more toilets then the cost will have to go up.

As for the route there is a slight change planned for next year already, so if you enjoyed this years hopefully next years will be better.

In short: Its NOT flat, not sure what race others were doing!
In full: I really enjoyed it but should have done more research as slowed in the second half due to what seemed like more climbs from the half way mark. Although the start and finish were at the same place so I'd thought 'what goes up must come down' etc. but most of the downhill's seemed to be down to a 'T' junction so you couldn't relax down them, you had to break.
Lots of turns so not really PB potentail I'd say.
May be not as many toilets but I arrived and started lining up about 45 minutes before the start and wasn't waiting long. If you get in the line not long before the start then what do you expect??
Good race and nice to see the race director at the end and thank him personally. Thanks also to the marshalls!!
