In short: Fantastic organisation and value for money - thanks! In full: Great warm-up for London. Why would anyone want to run a big sponsored city race like Bath or Reading, with great events like this around? Date of review: March 21, 2005
In short: Well organised, plenty of water, friendly marshalls In full: Not an easy race but nice pretty scenery and a friendly atmosphere. Shame I felt like an old donkey running backwards (very slowly)!! Date of review: March 21, 2005
In short: Good Crowd In full: Writing this after a knackering but rewarding 21 miles. Very well organised with a good crowd, good marshals, well placed water stops. It would have been more convenient if they had a place you could put your bags safely.
In short: Best possible marathon preparation In full: It's certainly a challenging course but not a killer - plenty of undulations in the first 9 miles but fairly flat after that and no really tough hills. Marshalling and signposting were perfect. Drinks stations are plentiful. The relatively small field means the parking, toilets and start are not too chaotic. If you're doing FLM, this race is a must. And even if you're not it's a good race. Date of review: March 20, 2005
