In short: Good start to the racing year
In full: Good event through beautiful countryside, fast enough course not to notice scenary much. Goody bag disappointing. 2003 drinks bottle and undated slate coaster, but would do again.

In short: Weather was good...traffic free route, can set yourself a steady pace until you hit the hill at 7k! Mementos? What t-shirts? I got a drinking bottle from the 2003 10k run! A medal would have sufficed especially after paying £11 online fee!

In short: Good start to my running calendar for 2006 ..
In full: It's a shame the weather didn't make up it's mind prior to the start.. freezing outside the clubhouse so I put on the layers, gloves and hat to find at the start all change.. Typical..!!

In short: Flat (mostly) fast and well organsed - excellent marshalls
In full: The course s mostly flat so the opportunty for a PB s definitely there. The marshalls organsed the car par superbly and were on hand to ensure you too the correct turns in the road. Small clusters of support were enthusiastc and friendly.

In short: Average Race. Online entrants were penalised for entering online
In full: One to be aware of nest year, was unaware when I entered online that I would have to collect my number on the day, this is very unusual as I have entered loads of races online and this is the first time, I have been asked to collect the number on the day. Entering online is supposed to make things easier and having to collect your number on the day isn't easy. It was lucky that there were no entries on the day otherwise this would have been even more confusing.

Course was good and clearly marked throughout on a Traffic Free course, marshalls were there but most didn't say anything or direct you. KM markers were all there. One slight hill at 7k other than that the rest of the race was undualting.

My Garmin 301 made the course 10.2KM, this doesn't mean the course was over length but just mentioning it.

Last little quirk is that the cars are parked in a field which cars the course crosses so cars can't leave until all runners are home, this can delay you leaving for some time.

I received no email or race information as I entered online so was unaware of what was expected this would have been more of a problem if this was my first race.

I might do this one again.
