In short: Best race i have participated in. In full: What a race! Thought the course, coupled with the atmosphere made for a wikid pb potential. Managed to run a 39mins so very pleased...i give some of the credit to the fantastic crowd tho, they really did push me round at times. An absolute credit to the inspirational woman that is Jane Tomlinson. Date of review: June 24, 2007

In short: Fun race for a good cause, but crowded start In full: I started running a few months ago so that I could enter this event. Organisation and course were very good, but the km markers were not obvious, and I missed a couple. The start was very crowded - all runners with expected times of 40-60 mins were bunched together and I couldn't run at the pace I wanted until about 4km. Nevertheless, a very enjoyable race, but not one for a PB due to the crowds. Date of review: June 24, 2007

In short: I enjoyed this race, the atmosphere was fantastic and it's my home city!! In full: Overall I enjoyed taking part in this race and would do it again next year. I think it has a definate PB potential providing you listen out for the announcements(which I found difficult to hear) telling you when to go to the start area depending on your estimated finish time.
I found the course relatively flat with a few small inclines, but nothing to get too worried about. You actually do a U-turn on meanwood road so you don't get to the big-ish hill further along that road which you run up on the Leeds half marathon.
The plane flying overhead congratulating runners at the race finish was a nice touch.
Thanks to Jane Tomlinson and everyone else involved in organising such a fantastic event and I hope it proves to be just as successful next year. Date of review: June 24, 2007

In short: Great atmosphere, great race, taxing hills! In full: Brilliant atmosphere and organisation, brilliant fun. Seperation of runners of different speeds and start meant if you wanted to get away fast you had to be alert or face serious crowding. Those long, not particualrly steep, but very wearing, hills and crowds took their toll so no PB :-(, but it was a great fun event with a good goody bag, brilliant friendly atmosphere and fantastic cause, even the sun came out! Definitely one to do again. Date of review: June 24, 2007
