In short: a half marathon of two halfs first downhill, second uphill
In full: One of the best halfs for organisation well done roberttown road runners and marshalls a long drive from durham but worth it, not many half marathons left in the north of england. reminds me a bit of ackworth with the undulations has that one gone to the wall also!

In short: Well organised. Good mix of hills!
In full: I ran this for the first time this year and it did not disappoint. Well organised and plenty of enthusiastic marshalls along the route keeping runners spirits up. The downhill stretches were tough on the thighs and of course so were the uphill pulls. Not the monster I expected knowing the area well but still a good challenge. Congratulations to Roberttown Road Runners for a well organised event. (Not sure about the t-shirt though?)

In short: Hilly, fun and friendly
In full: Very enjoyable race, well organised and friendly marshals. There wasn't much flat, although the much-hyped big climb proved pretty tame. the descent into Brighouse was worse - my spine felt every step of it. definitely one to do again.

In short: Challenging
In full: Very good marshalling. Tough climbs, good downhill sections but that last half mile doesn't half drag and as for that long incline between 9 and 10, it's a very very long mile!

In short: Great Prep for a marathon and 'top marshalling'
In full: This is a tough course but not suicidal, there are hills but none that bring you to a standstill. There is a fair bit of the course on busy major roads which does detract from the route but this was more than made up for by the marshalling and organisation. Lot's of smiles and encouragement along the way.

In short: Killer hills
In full: I don't know why, but this year I found myself looking forward to the hills - even though they slowed me down considerably. I had it etched in my mind from last year that the long straight uphill past the golf course at around nine miles went on forever but this year it seemed to go by in a flash. I was a good deal slower than last year though, so it's obviously all in the mind. The wind and rain started to do their worst in the last couple of miles, which slightly put the dampers on an otherwise enjoyable race. Hardly any spectators (the weather didn't help) but that was more than made up for by the excellent marshalls - very encouraging, especially for back markers like me. Well done Roberttown; another really good race. Amongst the runners I saw so many familiar faces from last year, it's obviously a race that people return to year after year. There must be a reason for that.
