In short: Easier for the runners than the Marshals...
In full: Well done to everyone from Marlow Striders who stood out in the lashing rain all morning.

In short: Blimey that was hard!
In full: Gale force wind, howling rain flooding my eyes and deep water to paddle through - this was the hardest half marathon ever (my third marlow)! Despite this it was brilliant and the marshalls fantastic, especially the one at about 10 miles who told me I WAS doing well and inspired me to keep going - thank u!

In short: High proportion of club entrants, novices welcome d though.
In full: Challenging course for a first timer like me, but enjoyable despite torrential rain! Two of the hills were tough, but beautiful area to run through..

In short: Very supportive marshalls in trying conditions
In full: This is a great race , very well organised and given the weather the marshalls were fantastic. The only issue I had was that we could not get into the shower block which was not much fun post race in rain . Apart from that great. Will be back .

In short: Very tough conditions which made it strangely enjoyable at the time and even more so upon completion with pint in hand

In short: The only way is up!
In full: I knew this was going to be tough and that there were a lot of hills but I'd still underestimated them. Long climbs up and then some very steep dips down which were almost as hard on the legs. Add to this some flooding, lashing rain and gusty wind and you've got a tough morning on your hands. But I loved it - great atmosphere, very friendly, the last mile is a lovely gentle decline, a nice t-shirt to remember the morning by. The tea tent might have been expensive but that was an enormous Danish Pastry and a good cup of tea and I deserved them both! Thank you Marlow Striders - you did a great job.

In short: I might be sadistic but the rain made this tough race even more fun
In full: Great race. Flooded lanes, steep uphills and downhills made the sense of achievement at completing this race enourmous. Great organisation from the marlow striders considering the weather and postal strike. Great marshalls. Fantastic support from them. All in all a great race.
