In short: An uplifting event...in spite of this years mud!
In full: If you want to see 4 seasons in 1 day and some of the most impressive race views you'll come across, this race is for you. It's the third time I've ran the event, and even achieving a PW today has not put me off or dimmed my enthusiasm for what has become an absolutely "must race" event in my calendar. Well organised and marshalled. Chilli and pitta for £1.50 in the Clubhouse and sarnies for 10 bob - bargains like those make you proud to be a Yorkshireman. Go on, give this one a go next year and you'll be delighted that you did.

In short: Hugely...
In full: ...enjoyable, muddy (a few people lost shoes), friendly, varied (woods, moors, canals, flat bits, hilly bits, moutainous bits, roads, towns, the works!), pb event for those running their first half marathon only! I'd almost consider this a fell race, and given the amount of rain that's fallen in the last fortnight wellies would have been more appropriate footware than trainers!

In short: Muddy!
In full: Very well organised. Plenty of friendly marshalls and a well marked out course. Not a race to challenge your pb, but certainly a race to remind you why you run in the first place. Beautiful scnenary (sewage works excepted!!), tough challenging hills and difficult conditions underfoot make for a hard 2hrs! Worth it though. Well done Baildon Runners

In short: A truly superb challenge which was well organised and cheerfully marshalled
In full: A PB is possible if this is your first half mara or all your previous ones have been done in a diving suit. An interesting course taking in the best of the local scenery (and a sewage works), with easy fast bits mixed in with real hands on knees rock-hopping, lung-busting climbs. I'm sure the perfect weather helped. I'll be back.

In short: Fantastic mixed terrain hilly race. Hard but great fun.
In full: Brilliantly organised race taking in fields, woods, canalside, steep climbs and bogs. No chance of a pb, but can't wait to try again next year.
