In short: Still one of the best in the UK In full: Like the new course, plenty of variety in this race, you got a running track, parks, housing estates, busy main roads and now even a bit of mucky pot holed track! Good on ya Stockport, still one of the finest races around. I know that the picking up numbers congestion will be fixed for next year.....I just know it, cos that's Stockport for you. The tech shirt as always is a very thoughtful design but the small are mahoosive on this little woman! Date of review: December 10, 2013
In short: Best run race I've done and will continue to do! In full: This is the only race that is fixed in my calendar, 2 years on a row now and a great experience each time. Very unique and original in its organisation and a pleasure to be involved in. Date of review: December 10, 2013
In short: Great Race, the muddiest one I have done! In full: The new course though less steep was quite pot-holed and muddy. If the weather was much colder it might be difficult to stick to this route Date of review: December 10, 2013
In short: Super marshals, funny (haha) announcer, a real gem of a race In full: Always a well organised race, quality fast field up front and a tidal wave of happy runners behind. Great t-shirt for the price too. Thanks Date of review: December 9, 2013
In short: Great race, great atmosphere In full: Stockport 10 is the most enjoyable race of my year. Not the most scenic, not the most challenging, not the best for PB but the best FUN you can have whilst running a race. Definitely the friendliest marshals and the best goody bag ever. "Tom Potson" is developing a dangerously Alan Partridge personality tho..... Date of review: December 9, 2013
In full: Fantastic race loved it! Not too sure about the second change in the route was a little uneven in parts but would definitely not put me off - a race not to be missed! My favourite race of the year :) Date of review: December 9, 2013
In short: Really enjoyable morning jaunt round Stockport In full: With large portions through housing estates, it shouldn't be a particularly memorable race. But it was! One or two areas of improvement...number collection was a bit disorganised, and website directions from the M60 could have been clearer (like included the junction number) But those are minor gripes in a thoroughly enjoyable race. The atmosphere is excellent, the marshalls were amongst the best I have ever encountered - helped by the name on the fronts admittedly. Great t-shirt, which unusually for the "fuller-figured" me is actually big enough to wear! Well worth the trip up from Leicester,!
Thanks and well done to all involved with the organisation. Date of review: December 9, 2013
