In short: Excellent race.
In full: Big praise to organisers and local people who were incredibly supportive - unlike anything I've seen in other races. Thank you to the lady at mile 12.5 when I was dragging myself up that mean hill who was incredibly encouraging, shouting out my name (numbers were personalised) and really spurring me on. Extremely well organised with plenty of everything - parking, loos, water stations, timimg mats and good feeling. Great tshirt too and massive medal. Very thoughtfully planned. Hopefully my legs will return to normal soon. and I'll be ready for that hill next year!

In short: Great start(Race Course). Great finish( Chester Town Hall and Cathedral
In full: Great traffic free race out of beautiful city of Chester. Spectators can shop for at least 2 hours (in my case) and see the Finish in the beautiful town centre.
Medal heavy. Goody bag could do with a bit more (leaflets can't be eaten). Fabulous Mornflake Oats hogey wagon in Town Centre GIVING AWAY free hot porridge to competitors. Sounds strange but that little touch was just the culmination of a great day out. If you've tried the rest now try the BEST.

In short: WHAT A FABULOUS RACE
In full: What a fantastic race, I absolutely enjoyed every minute of it.

Fantastic organisation with some lovely touches, particularly sarting the children's race alongside the half at the same time. No queue to speak of at the portaloos either as there was so many of them - excellent.

Brilliant course nice and scenic and pretty much all gently undulating / flat which was great. A really friendly race with great commaraderie amongst the runners.

Excellent goody bag at the end as well.

I just want to say a huge thank you to all of the organisers and amazing volunteers and of course the local residents and supporters along the way. I'm countiing the days until I can do it all over again, can't wait!!

In short: Loved the race, the organisation and support around the course was fantastic - quite challenging in places especially the killer hill at the end, but other than that I over exceeded my PB and am well chuffed.

In short: Great race with great atmosphere.
In full: Loved the race, a lot of cheering supporters along the way. Almost got a PB. A little hillier than I expected but no long hills. Good supply of liquids and gel along the course. Would definitely do this one again.

In short: another superbly organised race from Chris and Andy
In full: my second Chester half (having ran the last two Chester marathons)and despite a lame performance by myself I cannot overstate what great half it was. Superbly organized, more portaloos than any race I have ever done, a great route, superb Marshalls and drink stations. Fantastic crowd support in one the most beautiful places in the country. This was my 62nd half/full races and quite simply Chester is in my top 3, a must do race. The full marathon is equally as good if not better

In full: Even better than last year. Great day had by all. This must rate in the top 5 halfs in the country. I rate this up with the Rock n roll series which are out of this world. As Mr S would say "I will be back"!!!
