In short: Would definitely recommend and run again, great well organised event, fantastic support throughout. In full: A fantastic well organised race, challenging course which makes it all the more fun. Great support throughout by locals and families with lots of jelly beans on offer. Excellent support around the course by fellow runners and great goodies T Shirt, Medal, Chocolates and banana at the finish. Made all the better by no queue for the toilets and results were posted near enough straight away. Date of review: October 7, 2012

In short: Heart warming In full: I feared this race as I had seen it was hilly, and yes it was but loved it! Great support around the course. Well organised, nice medal and tech shirt. Plenty of water. I came home with a great buzz! Thank you! Date of review: October 7, 2012

In short: Take a bow, organizers, that was superb! In full: Excellent organization, marshalling and the people of Cliddesden and Ellisfield are the coolest on the planet - their support was awesome as indeed it was last year. The race didn't feel too crowded or too lonely: the limit of 2000 seems right. Plentiful water stations. Car parking, chip collection, t-shirt collection and baggage all worked like a dream. Looking forward to next year already. Date of review: October 7, 2012

In short: Challenging hills, but great scenery at the top (when it's not foggy...). See you next year :) In full: A few very long or steep hills up, but what goes up does come down, even if it does kill the quads in the process. Excellently organised, great support from locals - especially those who deliberately sited themselves at the top of the hills - and great marshalls. Only one downside - would prefer an earlier start. In short: Great organisation, crowds supportive, pleasant views, interesting hills!! In full: Only my second half marathon (first was this event last year in the 30C heat) but the misty morning gradually warming was much better. Got a 26 minute PB despite the hills and would like to try to better that another year. Really good support from the crowds despite running a lot of it out in the sticks, fantastic organisation and supportive marshalls. Well done Destination Basingstoke for another impeccably run event with fully closed roads and country views. Date of review: October 7, 2012

In short: perfect weather and a great PB to boot!! In full: last year was my first half and the hills and weather made it very very hard.. This year after joining a fab running club CPRC and doing the route so many times for training I smashed my Half PB, smashed my time last year and steamed up those hills... Organisation was fantastic. Even the amount of loos excellent! Well done everyone involved in making this a smooth, well planned great race.. Well worth doing and good value especially as they gave away a t shirt this year... well done to all my team mates and well done Basingstoke. Date of review: October 7, 2012

In short: Excellent organisation and weather kind for running hard In full: About the best organised half marathon I have entered. Not an easy course, but the weather was perfect for running, although the mist meant you could not see much of the scenery. Definitely like runing on closed roads. I really enjoyed it.
