In short: Well organised, good flat course but with a sting in the tail.
In full: Good new course, well marshalled, nice to see 3 water and sponge stations on a warm day. The marshalls could have gone out onto the course before the runners had formed for the start though and saved us all nestling into the bushes to let them past.

Fast start downhill, generally flat but then the sting from 8 miles a long steady incline to about 9.5 miles, but still a good PB potential route in lovely countryside.

In short: Nice new course
In full: Enjoyed the new course, quicker than the previous one. I also had some differences in the mile markers, especially the 1st one, but then they are only a guide.

Will certainly be back again next year, well done on a successful event.

SS.

In short: Great scenery and an enjoyable race
In full: A completely new route this year, which I was concerned about because I loved the old course. But the new one is just as beautiful and a little flatter, although the single climb in mile 9 is fairly brutal and the headwinds in the exposed sections are a challenge. Mostly though it's a lovely stroll along winding, traffic-free roads.

I thought the mile markers were pretty much spot on and the organisation was fine - no problems at start or finish and well marshalled and signposted throughout. Nice T-shirt and pot of jam in the goody bag.

Relatively small field so it gets a bit lonely at times - I can understand why they decided not to accept entrants on the day, to avoid any delays, but I'm not sure it's the right decision.

In short: Nice course - pity about the milemarkers
In full: Nice course and a lovely day. Even though it is a new course the milemarkers are still wrong!, but oh well......

In short: Great course, well marshalled - fab race all round.
In full: Not quite as flat as advertised, the hill at 8miles makes it a challenge but great day nonetheless. Sunny day, great course and excellent course management. Great t-shirt also for finishers.
