In short: Loved the course - but was it really 13.1 miles?
In full: First the good stuff: scenic course, a few hills to challenge you in the first half, very pretty and flat second half; good water stops; a scattering of very supportive people around the course; great t shirt; very friendly.

But I don't think I was the only one whose Garmin measured the first mile at 1.25 miles. That demoralised me a bit, and I wonder what it did for those without a garmin. The final distance was 13.43 - and it's usually pretty accurate.

Oh, and great organisation to text through my time by the time I'd got to the car - well done, raceahead.

In short: Well run, reasonably flat race in the Devon countryside
In full: Great race as usual - highly recommended as a friendly well run race. Towel was a great idea.

In short: One of my favourites and it wasn't cold or raining this year!
In full: When I saw the opening mile was reversed I thought great a wide road to start on rather than a narrow backstreet but no it was so we had to file over the narrow start mats. An event this size does not need race chips, we all have stop watches and end up racing those around us at the time (not those necessarily around us on the start line). Having said that, this was the only negative in an otherwise excellant event.

In short: A PB!!!
In full: Great race and well organised, set out to achieve a PB and although this is my first time at this particular event... mission accomplished!
Very well organised and marshalled race and agree with other comentators that the towel was a nice change to t-shirt or a medal.
Only two slight improvements I would suggest i) can the start be marked a bit clearer from the car park in terms of a few start directional arrows or better still an overhead start banner before the electronic mats. Was not straight forward to find. ii) The race chip deposit bin was easily masked by other runners at the finish, how about a few more dotted along the exit route before and after drink and towell station?
Well done to all those involved and especially the enthusiasm at the start and finish of the radio station lady. Very uplifting.

In short: Well organised race, as flat a half marathon as you could find in Devon
In full: Ideal conditions, cold dry and sunny, with a very gentle undulating first 7 miles then a flat last 6 following the Tarka Trail.

In short: Perfect weather, good course, nice towel and well worth the pain ...
In full: A good undulating first 7 miles, then a very pleasant return on the Tarka Trail and with perfect weather this year. Also with a bonus of a towel instead of the usual t-shirt or medal!
