In short: Splash!
In full: My first visit to the Aldridge 10k - unfortunately didn't manage to bring any decent weather with me. I finished the race wetter than wet, but not dampened in spirit. Not the easiest of 10k courses, the long incline towards the end poses a challenging barrier to anyone looking for a PB. Marshalls were great throughout. Start was perhaps a little chaotic, with everyone poring onto the road as soon as it was closed which seemed to mix the various abilities leading to more 'jockeying for position' in the opening k than I usually experience. Will definately be back next year, and will remember to pack my snorkel and flippers, just in case!

In short: Splashy
In full: Weather a stark contrast to the heat of last year's event but that just added to the fun of one of the region's premier running events. Great atmosphere and tremendous support from the marshalls. Well done ARC!

In short: Ticks (nearly) all the boxes
In full: Smooth organisation, nice finish area, imaginative memento as usual. It's not traffic free, but I'm being picky (The motorists are more inconvenienced than the runners.)
Usually a tough one in the heat, but it's funny how the cool weather and rain flattens the hills!

In short: 4th year - perversely enjoyed the rain. The 8 - 9k hill seemed much easier this year!

In full: The rain, unfortunately, spoilt a very good race route.
However the spirit was good and organisation, as always, was excellent.

In short: Fabulous race, great organisation and cheery marshalls despite the rain
In full: Loved every minute of it - splashingly good fun :) This is the first time I've run this race and even thunder and lightening couldn't spoil the enjoyment. An interesting course of ups and downs, and to be fair the cooler weather probably helped :)

In short: Very Soggy
In full: Excellent organisation, excellent marshalling. Thx marshalls for standing out on a soggy course and still managing a friendly smile when you went past. Maybe an extra marshal or two for reassurance would have been good on sections of the busy road where there was no pavement and just grass ie bottom half of Erdington road and Little Aston road by Fairlawns as found it very scarey running on a busy road with traffic. But on the whole very good challenging race shame about the weather
