In short: Nice course, but could be alot better organised at the finish.
In full: Course was good, as were the marshalls. However to finish and find that the organisers had run out of medals, was disappointing. They did take names, so lets hope they arrive in the post as promised.

In short: Would do it again but I live only 6 miles away - otherwiseNO!
In full: As with last last year the organisation was very very poor.
Last year it was a short race with chip timing problems and the race started 15 mins late due to traffic problems.

This year they had learnt nothing.

The queue off the A38 took 20 mins and I got parked with only 8 mins to go before the race. I saw one couple abandon their car at a bus stop on the A38!I jogged to the start and made it on time. There were rumours of a delayed start and then BANG we were off. No countdown nothing!
My father was also late arriving and was told the race start was delayed 15mins so he went to the toilet only to find runners streaming past when he came out! He and many many others started a full 5 to 10 mins behind the rest of the pack.

At the end it was confusing, people joined a queue to get the goody bag only to find it was to get their finish time and then had to queue again for the goody bag. the goody bags were nearly empty and ran out long before the end. They started taking names and addresses. there was no energy bars only an inadequate number of bananas which also ran out.

Also for the non-runners there was only a burger van selling burgers and teas -yuk!!

PS Did i mention it is overpriced and there are very few prizes except for M1,2,3 and F 1,2,3

KP Events now have about 8 races per year and seem more interested in making a fat profit than running a well-organised race and if I didnt live only 6 miles away I wouldnt do this race again.

One good point is it does have good PB potential - but only if they measure the course correctly!

In short: Shame my recorded time was 30 mins quicker than my Garmin
In full: Having done this race for the last 2 years I was well up for doing it in 2012. Usual issues as previous years, cars and pedestrians trying to use the same gate into carpark leading to queues to get in. Marshalls were great around the course all in all a great race, until you got through the finish.

I recorded a time of 1:17 on my Garmin, there was a facility to check your time before leaving, tap in your number and the time was displayed, Mine said I had completed it in 0:47:20.

Goodie bags at this event have always been good with a medal, T-shirt and other bits and pieces. Not this year they had not got enough and asked people to write down their name, not sure if I should hold my breath and wait to see what happens.

Bottled water had ran out by the time I finished and had to make do with a cup. The Bananas on offer looked like they had been thrown away by a shop at the end of the day.

But I will be back.

In short: Great Race
In full: Excellent race, well organised, friendly. Shame they ran out of number chips (only up to 950), let's hope they're better prepared next year.

In short: Great race: but everyone I spoke to measured at 9.4kms - 9.5kms ;-(
In full: Lovely countryside and well organised with fruit drink and banana at end BUT why or why so far out on the distance. I spoke to 8 random runners to check my own measurement at 9.45kms. Assuming this is the distance then it should not be marketed at 10k OR find another 500 metres . Somewhere !. This was my only criticism of an otherwise great day
