In short: Well organised, and a nice paperweight for finishing which made a nice change from a medal

In short: This was my first 10K and I would definitely do it again.
In full: The support from the marshalls, spectators and other competitors for those of us who were beginners running their first 10K was really great and made so much difference.

In short: This race never fails to deliver. 2007 no exception
In full: Great race as usual. Being HRRL gives it an edge. Did anyone mention the heat? My car thermometer said 31 degrees after the race.

In short: Should have been on for a PB but weather was far too hot.
In full: Would like to thank all the marshalls who were very friendly and helpful even though they had to stand in the sun all morning.

Very nice memento - a nice change.

Agree with the comments that there could have been a second water station on the course as the weather was so warm.

In short: Mad dogs and englishmen go out in the midday sun
In full: Well here was me hoping for my PB near my old house on a lovely flat course. I had my family and my best mate strategically stationed to give me loads of support as I was running for charity and then the weather decided to put a spanner in the works!

Lovely flat course, well signed and liked the half way clock (where I was on target for a PB time!) but then the dehydration got to me. Even though it was a bit short notice, could the organisers not have found it in their hearts to set up a second water station on the return leg from the industrial estate? I nearly nipped into the garage to plead with the staff to let me have some water and I'd come back with the money later.

The marshals on Salisbury Road return leg were fabulous and thank you so much to the man who ran with me for a little way and talked me into not giving up. They deserved the fab glass momentoes as much as we did for making it such a safe and enjoyable day.

All in all, a great race and I'll do it again. Just next year, can someone please organise a little breeze :o)

In short: Well organised fast race
In full: The organisers did an excellent job to keep the cars at bay in a busy town with all of the running on road. Nice touch having a timer at the 5km point and good momento.
I agree with the gripe about the water station at 6km, there was space to have it a the 5km point which also offered some shade from the searing heat.

Will definately do it again next year.
