In short: brilliant half marathon not to be missed
In full: PB potential for advanced runners, challenging for all levels but achievable. Organisation and marshalling was amazingly good. Excellent atmosphere, great local support, lots of facilities on the start/finish field. This is a race not to be missed! Note though that the route is mostly off-road and can be stony/rough under foot, and some steep but short hill climbs.

In short: Now I understand why so many prefer it to Bath
In full: My first time for FoD as this has clashed with Bath half in previous years. Great organisation and a reasonably quick course through the forest with some undulating sections. I'll be back for next year.

In short: Well organised and mostly fun but not a fan of hills ;-)
In full: Found this hard going but that'll teach me to do more hills in my training! Was well organised and the finish had a great atmosphere. Particularly enjoyed the pancake stall at the end :-D

In short: Great fun but hard work
In full: This is a great scenic area anyway and to run in it is brilliant. My first attempt at this distance, thoroughly enjoyed the experience but boy it was tough in places. Some of the mushier bits were as a result of very wet weather in the days beforehand but some tough hills for good measure too! Don't let that put you off though.

In short: Tough course, especially the first half or so, but rewarding, well organised and good fun (isn't that what it's all about?).

In short: Harder than I'm used to...
In full: Beautiful scenery, like many others I wasn't sure where to stand at the start so just tucked myself somewhere in the middle, which turned out to be about right. Course was hard work, even more hills than I expected but now I'll know for next year. More toilets would have been good - but at least the bushes were well watered ;) Will def be back next year.

In short: Hills were more challenging than expected, but a great day out - despite the aches and pains afterwards! :)

In short: signage needs improving but that's the only fault. You can never have enough toilets but why not have one just for men to reduce the queues?
