In short: Hard but fun
In full: I wondered why it was doing it for the first 2 miles up that hill but then picked up at miles 4 to 9. Cold and damp but good fun. It was 8 degrees back at the car! So well organised. Thank goodness the last mile is down hill.

In short: Fantastic race with brilliant scenery - enjoyed it far more than Sheffield Half Marathon last week
In full: After a sub-standard race at Sheffield last week, I feel exhilarated after completing the Eyam Half. I was really nervous at the beginning because I knew what was in store...but i was mentally prepared for it and had a much better run than the week previous at Sheffield Half Marathon. First few miles are uphill followed by a glorious 4-5 miles of downhill in the middle which is then cancelled out by a really tough 2 mile uphill stretch finishing with a mile race to the end. I ran my fastest 4-5 miles in this race and NEARLY managed to run all the way round without walking. Fantastic atmosphere - will definitely do it again.
