In short: Good race improved by new course
In full: The new course seems a bit more hilly than the old one, though maybe that was because it was a windy day and the hilly bit is rather exposed. In spite of that, it was more pleasant than the old one, especially the finish where there was lots of support. The gravel footpath part was fine - good surface and plenty wide enough - though it could be a different story after heavy rain.

In short: Varied course but quick
In full: I enjoyed this one. There was quite a crowd but, after a few minutes from the start, this caused no impediment to proper running. The terrain was a bit up and down, but the variety was good - I liked the gravel path near the end - with some pleasant rural stretches. I think it is a fast course. The organisation was excellent, as I expected from this club. Will return.

In short: Good 10k; shambolic kids 3k
In full: 10k was a pleasant race. Brought kids along to do the 3k first, but this was extremely disappointing. It was in a different spot to the 10k; there were no signs as to where to go to register or start; because it was in a different place I was unable to see the kids finish (the whole point being to cheer them on, surely?); the 3k race was just twice round a very uneven field - kids were stumbling all over the place, apparently; kids getting confused as to where the finishing line was (because marshalls, not in the critical place); no timings given. All in all a very disappointing kids 3k.

In short: Well organised race! Definate value for money
In full: The marshalls were great in this race. Really supportive and friendly. The course had enough variation to be interesting and the goody bag at the end was great with some useful bits and pieces. Well done Reading Road Runners!

In short: Excellent and well organised
In full: Worth the long trip. Well organised, good bunch of enthusiastic marshalls and a decent goodie bag. Good value too and the fete on the village green adds a different dimension.

In short: Excellent race, fixed all the 2009 glitches, fabulous encouragement from all the marshalls
In full: Really enjoyed my morning, can hardly blame Reading Road Runners for the "PB crippling" headwind on the 9th kilometre!! Well done and thank you to all.
