In short: hard but rewarding race
In full: Well-organised and friendly race with lots of challenging surfaces, plus a very steep half-mile hill. The river crossing at the end makes this memorable. I'll be back next year just to see if I can get round without falling over!

In short: Glorious trail race with a bit of everything
In full: First time at this, there is a lot of climb - hill at 4miles is v steep but view over 'fax stunning at top. Muddy downhills through bluebell woods are well worth the trip.
Need to get near the front at start for decent time tho - first 2 miles are difficult to overtake, still my favourite trail race to date, organisation and support excellent. Recommended.

In full: First time I have raced this event and I cannot wait until 2009! I am a road runner and this is certainly the hardest race I have ever done. Frustrating in parts as you are unable to overtake but this course don't expect to get a PB. I was so intreaged by the dreaded topper Lane in which you will do 500ft in under half a mile, i took my car up it and even that struggled!!!. The most enjoyable bit for me is the river crossing....why its the finishing line!!

In short: One of those sadistic races that you come back for again and again
In full: tough course but excelent organisation and every variety of course mixed in. I quite liked grafitti alley in a strange sort of way and although I sort of remembered Tropper Lane from last year...I didn't really. Picked my wife a Bluebell in the woods towards the end...fantastic!!!
