In short: A nice little low-key low-tech run
In full: Fantastic venue and course - three laps of Churchill's stately pile in rolling Oxfordshire countryside. No fancy chip stuff or anything, just turn up and run ... I liked it.

In short: Hilly and unusual length but beautiful scenery
In full: We travel from Wigan Phoenix to compete against Woodstock Harriers every year so if anyone was wondering why so many people had travelled all the way from Lancashire then there's your answer. Great event, well organised, wonderful surroundings. It was my first time this year but I'll be back every year from now on. Check out my race report at wiganphoenix.org.uk if you're interested.

In short: So uplifting to be running in such beautiful surroundings.
In full: I felt I was lucky to be alive yesterday - the weather was fabulous and the surroundings so beautiful. Because I'm a slow runner, I had time to take this all in, so ended with a big smile on my face! Great support from the spectators made it a perfect run.

In short: Lovely race and venue. Tough on the legs on the third lap.
In full: Three cheers to the marshal on the last bridge who was so encouraging. Shame some of the other marshals had left their posts by the time I made it round on my final lap. Nice to rest a bit in the Blenheim grounds afterwards.

In short: Well organised, bargain price, nice scenery and great marshalling.
In full: Had a great time at this race. For a bargain price you get a well organised scenic race with lots for the family to do while they are waiting. Thanks to the enthusiastic marshall on the bridge over the lake who was great at motivating runners. Well done Woodstock, great job!!!

In short: Challenging!
In full: Fantastic scenery though on the third lap I wasn't taking much notice of it! My legs haven't ached so much in a long time. Friendly atmosphere and encouraging marshalls. Great day out, beautiful weather, I'm looking forward to doing it again next year.

In short: Three laps in the grounds of Blenheim Palace !
In full: The route is hilly but at least you know what to pace yourself for after doing the first lap.

Needed water station half-way round. This would give you four water stops in 12m race. The day was warm so needed it.

Great race otherwise and achieved my goal of not getting lapped ! Will be back nexy year.

In short: Enjoyably different
In full: Towards the hilly end of 'undulating' but none the worse for it, and those wishing it to be a half or a 10M have probably missed the point. Beginners may be better off with the 10k in October though. Beautiful setting, pretty well organised, only £6, decent facilities, (although no showers), but be warned - you entry gets you into the park free, but not anyone else with you, and it isn't cheap. Drinks half way round wouldn't be a bad idea, but it was warm this year and I feel the heat more than most. Good pre Abingdon warm up race, expecially if you turn up an hour early and do a lap as a warm up to turn it into a hilly 16 ! Also its on Saturday afternoon, so no early start, and doesn't interfere with saturday nights out ! I'd do it again, and quite a few there sounded as though they come back year after year.
