In short: good all rounder!! i really enjoyed the hill work, it pushed me further
In full: A snack bar would have been nice at the end, of a bottle of water, not in a cup!!!
The only major grumble was thati hated the car park, trying to spin out of boggy mud just before a race isn't my idea of fun!!. luckily though some kind fella's pushed us along!!

In short: Tough, but enjoyable
In full: My first year at this event, well organised race, thanks to everyone involved, parking a bit of a nightmare tho.
2007 reviewer stated this was flat....was he running a different race to me?

In short: Very enjoyable (apart from getting out of the parking field).
In full: Fantastic race. Don't know how they managed to get the wind blowing in your face whatever the direction we ran in though. A personnal best made this race special.

In short: Tougher than expected but a good race.
In full: The car parking had the potential to be disasterous (think rain on muddy field) and I spent the entire race worrying about being able to get my car out of the field afterwards. Course was hillier than I expected but I think I must have imagined someone telling me it was flat. Good marshalls and the lucozade pouches made this an excellent London warm up. Managed a significant PB so very pleased.

In short: A great event
In full: A great route - undulating through the countryside. One or two steeper undulations - but nothing overtly unpleasant. A lot more interesting than something pancake flat, and didn't seem especially slower. Great marshalling, full of support and encouragement. Great waterstops, with the added bonus of some lucozade half way round. The car park was a little muddy, but apart from that, I'll be back next year.

In short: A challenging 1/2M but a lovely run through charming villages
In full: Could do with get rid of the rules on no drinks (own) to be carried round! I beleive this is due to local residents complaining about rubbish...its only once a year!!! Could make you be caught short for sugar if you do not hold on to the sports drink given at 5.5 M

In short: Very challenging hilly race with a lot of thought in the preparation
In full: This was a pretty challenging half, with a few climbs and a steep hill. The course was very well marshalled with plenty of water stations and a lucozade offered too.

The windy made it even more challenging, but as this was a warm up for the London marathon, I found it a good challenge. Not what I would consider a personal best course, but in fairness I do struggle with the hills.

I will be looking to improve my time next year but was fairly happy with what I got.

Thanks to all the marshalls and organisers.
