In short: Wll run, lots of parking, great event! Free, qualtiy massage too!
In full: A challenging run for sure but results in a great sense of achievement. Well done. Thanks for all the marshalls, there were millions of 'em, thanks for giving up your Sunday morning and early afternoon.

In short: Thank you Hogweeds for a fabulous race, its going to be my yearly challenge from now on. Hills, scenery, great marshals, fab food couldn't ask for more
In full: I have decided that I love this race. It is a bit challenging, but nevertheless the scenery is fantastic and there are some spectacular downhill whizzy bits. The organisation is spot on and everyone is so friendly and welcoming.

A big, big thank you.

In short: Fabulous scenery more than makes up for lack of PB potential
In full: Really enjoyed this event, apart from the hill between the 8 and 9 mile marker!

Seriously, definitely not a PB course (I was using it as a hard training run) not just because of the uphill parts, but the downhill stretches make it hard as well.

Having said that, this was some of the most glorious scenery I have seen on a race, through the Gloucestershire villages and countryside. Fortunately we were blessed with good weather as well.

The marshalls and supporters were fantastic, good to see water stations at regular intervals and jelly babies are always good!

Superb organisation, especially liked the free post-race massage and the memento (a kit bag) is original and useful. A tip-top reminder of a tip-top race.

Well done to the hogweed trotters for a fantastic event - see you next year.

In short: Not suprisingly rather hilly!!!
In full: Despite what the other reviewers have said about PB's I actually managed to knock 5 mins off my time from Bristol last year so can't be tood bad!!! Great course, superbly marshalled and organised. I will definitely be back next year!

In short: Forget your mass participation events.... do this!
In full: Great organisation, great atmosphere, title of race gives clue to the severity of hills! Thankfully the weather was great. On a wet windy day the race could have been totally different.

Really enjoyed this race from the free pre / post race massage, the excellent and friendly marshalls, the massive amount of post race food (top credit to the person who decided to provide fruit salad as an option).

I don't do races for the goody bag, but the use of a shoe bag was a great idea as something useful and certainly kinder to the environment.

Big credit to the organisers of this event. Real top class!

In short: Great event, glad I ran it.
In full: Thanks Hogweed for a great days running. Definitely no PB material, but then we already knew it was going to be like that. Nice to see a lot of friendly encouraging marshalls. I usually find something the constuctively criticise after a race, but not this time. Great all round.

ok, nearly great, it would have been fantastic if my big toe hadnt had been attacked by a huge blister about 5 miles in, but I can hardly blame you for that ;-)

Thanks again.

In short: challenging but great event
In full: I agree with all the previous comments. The hills were tough but the downhills were a welcome relief. Excellent scenery and organisation. Will be back next year

In short: Totally agree with Jon. Great scenery, great marshalling, friendly atmosphere, nice goody bag, lavish catering at good prices, nice awards to category winners, and a good coverage of categories.
In full: Highly recommended to all. Great value all round. Yes, it's hilly, forget about a PB, and enjoy the wonderful Gloucestershire countryside. Look forward to the post race catering and a massage service too! Well done to the organizers, this is how local races should be done. Full marks and thank you!

In short: Brilliant! Thanks Hogweed trotters for an excellent race - best organisation, marshals, value for money, goody bag and well hills - not like you didn't warn us. And finally tea, coffee and cakes.
In full: First HHH for me and a revelation, reminds me of my other favourite races (Abingdon marathon, Fowey triathlon) Races for runners – good value for money, brilliantly organised and marshalled, a useful goody bag (I’ll proudly be using it for my swimming togs on Monday). The post-run homemade cakes and yummiest idea the fresh fruit pots. As for the blinking hills – well the clue was in the name and Hogweeds website – plenty of photos and course profile, how much more warning do you need. Never going to be a half PB but who cares back next year to see if I can get a course PB! Only improvement to be made would be to get horse riders to smile! Time for two other large local Half organisers to pop over and see how to get it right.
Thanks again Hogweed and all the marshals.
