In short: lovely weather and a tough course but fantastic scenery, will be back next year better prepared for the hills.

In short: Well-organised, glorious weather, shame about my race plan really!! Recommended
In full: What can you say? The weather was ideal, the scenery is beautiful, tho' not as many loch views as you would imagine, the 'flat/undulating' classification belies some short, sharp uphills, some tough downhills and a couple of killers between 17 and 21 miles.
Be warned, the fast start can fool you - badly. Trust me, I know. This was painful.
On the whole, though, Baxters do an excellent job of organisation and the support through the villages and once back into Inverness is terrific.
