In short: Highlight was red squirrel running in front of me at 11.5 miles. Wished they had toilets after 16.5 miles!
In full: First marathon ever (IMNZ doesn't count). Loved the scenery, loved the old lady walking her dog in town asking me how far I;d run and loved the French runners shouting allez as I rang over the bridge.
Great first marathon course, shame about my knackered ankle which meant I couldn't go as fast as hoped.

In short: My first marathon and this has got me hooked!!
In full: I somehow managed to cross the finish line with a smile on my face and I have to admit that the sense of achievement was only the half of it. The remainder of that 'feel good' factor I can only put down too the organisation, atmosphere, and location of the event. I overheard a few runners mention that the 'slightly undulating' description was misleading but what do you expect when you run this sort of distance in the Scottish Highlands.

In short: Great day out, great weather for running a marathon, thrilled to get a massive PB.
In full: Fantastic scenery especially when the sun came out briefly a couple of times. Will be back.

In short: It just gets better every year
In full: What can I say? Wonderful race, scenery to die for, slick organisation, the best t-shirt in the race calendar, and snacks at the water stations in the second half. Even the weather was perfect for running. Permanent fixture on my race calendar.

In short: The best Marathon in Britain
In full: If you only run 1 marathon then this is the 1 to run. Ideal running conditions, picturesque scenery, welcoming people and only 1 major hill at 17 to 21 miles.
The goody bag at the finish is excellent value as is the barbeque. Excellent day.

In short: WOW WOW WOW
In full: Tough (me knee blew up at mile 22) but I will be back next year. A great atmosphere, great views and some fantastic people to run with (thank to Helen for keeping me going!)

In short: Tough going in places, but hugely enjoyable.
In full: Beautiful scenery was such a pleasure to run through it more than made up for the horrible hills at miles 4, 17, 18, 19 and various points in between. Great goody bag and a T-shirt you actually want to be seen in!

In short: My most enjoyable Marathon ever but then I say that every time I run.
In full: I cannot recommend this enough. Great organisation and atmosphere. The hills are a challenge-well they were to me- so a PB would be difficult butthat never detracted from a great day.

In short: Loved this race, great support and a definate sense of achievement.
In full: This is a very hard marathon and if it was a battle between me and the hills at 17,18,19 then the hills definatley won! Well worth doing though just for the burger and soup at the end, also fab goodie bag. My advice do it if you can its a toughie but a great experience. Also the coach journey is a laugh especially when people need the loo!!
