In short: Scotland's finest!
In full: Great location and excellent organisation. Thanks to all the marshalls who did a fantastic job. Thanks also to all the locals (particularly before reaching Inverness) who came out to support us in the rain. Tough going but well worth it - the perfect Scottish marathon.

In short: Great day.
In full: My first ever marathon and loved every minute. It's not an easy course and whilst the first half is easy those little climbs early on niggle away at you and you could pay later in the race.
Very wet but not that mattered running. Drinks stations were good but little disappointed I had to struggle through shoppers crossing the Ness bridge into town.

In short: Fantastic race! Very well organised, amazing scenery and killer hills
In full: A real tough one but very rewarding. First half has a lot of downhill so that you can still get a good time. I got a PB which was surprising as my previous PB was done at Abingdon on a flat course. Rain was hellish though. Very wet and with burst blisters making blood come through my shoes. Nice! See you all next year. Best marathon I've ever done.

In short: A fantastic event in every respect.
In full: The course was more challenging than I thought it would be, but the scenery is wonderful even if the sky is dribbling into the Loch. Great organisation from start to finish, great value, and I'm ready to put my entry in for next year.

In short: A great run even though it was chucking it down!!
In full: A bit hilly in places, I admire anyone who could run up the hill just after mile 17!! Only criticism is that for slow runners like me the Lucozade sport was all out by the time I got there

In short: Enjoyed it this year, didn't blow up at 20 miles as before. Thanks to all the supporters for their commitment in the rain, especially the fox on the silver bike with the red North Face Jacket!!

In short: A stiff course. Excellent organisation.
In full: Though i found the course tough this was a great event. Well organised, well supported (given what the weather was like) and well stocked with fluids(during and after the race, especially that post race soup. Abig thank you to all the marshalls for their efforts. Might not be back next year but will definitely do again!!

In short: This event surpassed my expectations. Brilliant.
In full: What a magnificent event. From the superb organisation to the awe inspiring setting. Everyone should try this at least once.

To say everything ran like clockwork would be an understatement. The convoy of buses with the motorcycle escorts ensuring we all got through the town together set the standard.

During the race, the drinks stations were well placed, the marshalls were supportive, and the support in the villages and even at farms was much appreciated.

The course itself is deceiving. I would swear now it was a tough course, but when I think back properly the first half isn't too tough and it's only really once you get to the dreaded "HILL" after Dores that the course beings to take it's toll.

In the end I finished with a PB, and I'll be back again next year to try for another.

Lastly the post race efforts of the organisers should be applauded. Hot soup, baked potato and a well earned seat sheltered from the rain. You really couldn't ask for more.

Easily my best marathon experience.

In short: Once again, a faultless race.
In full: I'm biased, being local, but this race is just brilliant. I like running in the rain, although I could cope with a little less than we had this year. I hope all the marshalls got medals too.
