In short: Really enjoyed the whole course. Good up hill start and great views. Recoomended to all In full: Good all round event. Really enjoyed the whole course. The start is challenging as your straight into good hill climb and just when you get over that, there's another! The run round Clumber Park is a real winner for me. Brilliant finish coming back down the steep hill you went up at the start. Nice t-shirt aswell! Will be doing it again next year. Date of review: November 1, 2004
In short: lovely course but quite undulating In full: My first road 1/2m in 9 years. Lovely course with clear distance markers and plenty of waterstops (except the water at the end dried up a bit). Helpful marshalls - sponges were a real bonus. Just a bit put off by one individual driving a beige landrover through the runners along what I thought was a traffic free area of the course. My legs gave me all types of pain after 9 miles but the scenery and downhill finish carried me through. Nice run and would do it agin if it were closer to home.
Thanks to all the marshalls and organisers. Date of review: November 1, 2004
In short: Undulating defined!! In full: A P.B. and great scenery. The hills brought out the best in me! Did have a squash for toilets beforehand and the goody bag could have included some fodder to revitalise the low energy level, but my running partners and I have this race circled on the calendar for next year!! In short: Excellent - just missed a pb and thoroughly enjoyed myself. In full: I'll definitely be back next year to beat my time, and the t-shirt with my name on the back is a really nice touch. Date of review: November 1, 2004
In short: Very enjoyable race with good atmosphere and splendid route In full: Good visible mile markers etc. Very attractive course. More toilet facilities in Start/Finish area would be a help, also a bit lacking in things for non-running family ("support crew" :) to do. Very good one though, and I'll be back!
