In short: I did not enjoy this one
In full: Having a race on the same day and location as the Sand Yachting Champs was an indictation it might be windy. Oh it was windy and got windier as race went on. Have now got rid of most of sand. Course was a bit odd in places. was def about 30-40 meters short too, but am not complaining about that!

In short: Fantastic Race for a Great Cause and Challenging to Boot!
In full: All I had heard previously about this race was wind, wind & more wind!!. Well I now understand why!! It wasnt as bad as I thought but 8k onwards was a fight until you saw the crowds at the end.

Really enjoyed this race and it is now on my race calendar for future years.

In short: Good race good cause
In full: Cannot speak highly enough of this race excellent organisation. The people who stage this race should be proud of the work they do and the way they welcome all level of runners!
Tough course with a mixture of concrete surfaces and off road running but imagine having the wind at your back on the way back!!
Excellent value and the sort of race that makes you want to come back for more shame they cannot stage 2 a year

In short: Great low key event
In full: A great little race in a terrific location. There is a price to be paid for the scenery 'though, if there is any wind at all you will suffer on the way back.
The value is outstanding ( compare with Liverpool 10k - more than twice the price and no T shirt ) and all money going to a great cause.
I'd be a bit cautious with the PB's. I feel the course may be a couple of hundred meteres short.

In short: Great run, in a fantastic location
In full: I really like this course and use part of that course for most of my training runs. The best thing about this event for me is it gives me a well-marked 10k course close to home to help my training.

The course itself has everything. Its flat and mostly on concrete which is good. The few hills that exist are short and steep so give you potential to put a bit of effort in. There are some country-style parts of the course which adds to the fun for me.

The organisation of this event is always great and you can tell the organisers put a lot of effort into making it a great day.

I'm looking forward to it again next year.
