In short: Good Organisation, Challenging Hills, Very Scenic
In full: Tough hills on the new course, organisation superb - sponges great idea on a hot day although the marshalls still had problems dealing with moronic drivers who still think it is OK to cross a lane with dozens of runners still running towards them.

In short: Good Race, Friendly, Hot Weather, Same bloke won it again!! I got a PB
In full: Good Things

Bad Things
Not enough Water Stations
Nearly run over by horses (although not really anyone's fault)
For the money to run this race you don't get a lot...

I ran the Brighton Half for the same kind of cost (I do understand that the total number of runners is different) and got a whole lot more e.g. Energy Bars, Foil Wraps, Water Bottles, Bananas, a text with your finish time etc.

Communication could be better, e.g. the use of email to communicate to runners about delayed starts and general information such as finish time or when the photos are available.

Finally after sprinting to the finish the last thing you want to smell is fried burgers and chips when you cross the line already feeling sick.

Although I have listed a few more bad points then good I would run this again because it was fun and a good day out for people to come and watch you.

In short: While course a bit challenging the scenery and sunshine was outstanding
In full: Loved it, really enjoyed the race rather than pushing for a PB - never seen beauty in a race like it, even had horses running across our path at one point! great support too, people handing out jelly beans and mars bars. Only downside I'd say is that registration documentation said that there would be ample free parking space in the field but it was actually full when we got there and had to hunt around for somewhere to park when short on time.

In short: A hard race, great scenery and support but those hills are hard, in the heat I should have taken a back-pack and we could have done with isotonic drinks at the stations. A good race though but if you want a pb this is not the one for you.

In short: Great scenery, great marshalls
In full: A really well organised event, especially at the start. The finish area became a bit chaotic and it was not easy to get a drink, which on a warm day is what i needed! Fantastic views although the inclines are not insignificant. I'll be back again next year!

In short: Excellent Race, Fantastic Weather and Glorious Scenary
In full: This is what running is about, the race was a manageable size and there was very little overcrowding on the route. The weather was perfect and the scenary was uplifting. It needed to be in places to take my mind off the hills. I will be back next year for sure.

In short: A great occasion for all, I hope, but certainly helped by the glorious weather and for me by a large family contingent of both runners and supporters.

In short: Terrible organisation
In full: Had a 20 minutes wait for the toilets, which meant I didn't have time for a warmup. After been given misleading information about where the best place to go would be.
One steward was talking to someone in a car (blocking most the road when I approached and didn't show me the way until I had stopped, particualrly annoying as I had just overtaken someone and took me a half mile to feel comfortable again.
As for the prizes, I don't normally win any and was pleasantly suprised by being in the running. Having recieved my 'mug' for 1st in an age category and 7th overall, I can see why the better runners give this a miss. Pretty shoddy in race with 2700 in it.

In short: Fabulous scenery, glorious weather, tough hills, great race!
In full: This is one of the most enjoyable races i have completed. The scenery really is wonderful, helped by the fab weather on the day. The hills were challenging, but made for a more interesting race than a flatter course could offer. Course marshalls etc did a great job. I was surprised that the roads werent completely closed to traffic and we ran parts of the way next to them, but can understand it is difficult to close so many roads for the day. The medal is one of the best ive seen. Perhaps could have had a few more water stations on the course and at the finish given the weather, but overall i loved it!
