In short: POOR ORGANISATION.......VERY POOR
In full: Terrible organisation, I suspect none of the organisers are runners. Worst aspect was staging the childrens fun run 2 hours after the start of the main race, as a result no spectators and the the runners with children had to chill down while waiting for the Children's race. I have run a large number of races and help organise several races with Childrens races and they start usual before the main event, not two hours after. THIS WAS A POOR RACE WITH POOR MARSHALLS WHO DID NOT KNOW HOW TO SMILE OR ENCOURAGE AND A PATHETIC AFTERTHOUGHT CHILDRENS RACE/FUN RUN. Could do a lot better, in fact could not do any worse.

In short: few small hills proved challenging, but good introduction to 10 races, would enter again.
In full: one criticism, more portaloos please - the queues made for nerve-racking times pre-race. Race route was well marked through the park, goodie bag good value for £15 entry, was one of the slower ones but this was an easy entry to 10k running. thanks to the organisers.

In short: A challenging run with some nice touches
In full: This run had a clever if not depresseng route which backed up on itself a few times. The route was either up or down the whole way and one hill, which was repeated ( at 3-4K then again) was particularly depressing, not just because it made the4 legs ache but because you could see the elites miles in front of you coming up it again.
The route twisted and turned a lot and the "post office queue" style backwards-and-forwards tantalisingly close to the finish line was slightly mean!
The start was a bit crazy with not quite enough loos, and 3 queues of 50 people each waiting for a total of 10 loos, was quite panicky. The luggage queue was qqually long but a clever helper sped it up by giving us out tags in advance. I was just pleased there was luggage as they sorted it out the week before.
The goody bag was very good - lots of free healthy food and more fruit than I eat in a month! ;)
A medal would be really nice, perhaps a wooden one like at the royal parks half, I'd pay an extra £2 for that happily.
This was a nice race overall although I missed my pb by 4 mins.

In short: poor race, badly organised
In full: The dreadfully-organised bag check really spoiled this race.

Stuck in an incredibly slow-moving queue for nearly an hour meant that about 200 of us could only watch the warm-up taking place (rather than participate) and we all almost missed the race itself, when organisers initially refused to delay the start.

We got our friends to lobby the organisers hard, and eventually they agreed to transfer some extra people over to baggage to help solve the problem of the enormous queue, and held back the start so that we could join the run.

There were some other problems with this race too - handing out bottled water with fiddley tops meant that runners were taking the bottles and then throwing them to the side in exasperation.

And despite the run being for the rainforest, there were no recycling facilities for the plastic bottles and the goodie bags full of leaflets.

It wasn't a disaster, but the looped course wasn't inspiring and the poor organisation means this is not a run to try in future years until the organisers sort it out.
