In short: Good scenic HM with a couple of challenging hills
In full: First time I've run this one, overall good race and delighted to break PB. Start was a bit odd with all being told to get inside the school and then being marched out again but other than that organisation was excellent. Well and enthusiastically marshalled, plenty of water stations and well supported, thoroughly enjoyed it as an event. No official race parking not great, every man (or woman!) for themselves on the nearby roads. T shirt ok but more a billboard for the sponsors and not one I'd wear plus another medal to sit in a drawer but that's just me being grumpy I'm not a medal fan, got dozens of them now and they don't really mean anything - rather have a couple of quid of the entry. Nice countryside to run in once cleared Congleton Town Centre. First half of race quite undulating and hard to find rhythm. Hill at 1.5 miles not too bad, sting at 12 short and sharp but overall a quick HM course. Will be back next year.

In short: Fantastic race
In full: Never seen so many marshalls, all giving lots of encouragement to us slower runners. Very well organised.

In short: Very well organised smaller race.
In full: Apart from no visible start line, this race had great organisation, was well marshalled and every mile marker was visible! Pleasant, quiet country lanes for most of the course with a couple of bumps rather than hills.Very enjoyable.

In short: A low key event, but well organised and a decent course
In full: I'd not done this event before, but entered on the day, which was straightforward. Nothing much by way of goodies (T-shirt was only if you entered in advance). Overall, well organised and a decent course. The final hill is tough, but short. Not the quickest course if you want a PB, but there are enough competitors to drag you round to get a good time. Would definitely do it again.

In short: More difficult that you may think!
In full: Started off too quickly, paid for it big time at 11 miles but still got a PB of 1:43 so can't moan too much. Water stations couldn't get the water out quick enough so missed out at the 6 mile mark when I needed some fluids & in general there wasn't a great deal off support from marshalls all the way around the course - the general public who came to watch were great though. I am definately doing this one again & will be better off for the experience this year!

In short: Rather lonely from miles 6 - 12 being at the back but marshalls were brilliant - very supportive. Drinks stations greatly appreciated and sponges were a nice touch and much neeeded.
