In short: Tough but very well organised
In full: Very well run race, organised like clockwork, pacers, traffic free, nice scenic course. The hills were a lot tougher than I expected! Fun finish in the park in front of the crowds. Be nice to have a medal, you get a nice tee-shirt but being unisex they rarely fit us ladies!

In short: Excellent early year half
In full: Not having run Watford before I had no ideal how rural the course is.
Easy to park , enough toilets, good change area and baggage storage , great scenic course around the country lanes , yes a few tough hills but time to recover Before the next one .
Marshals were friendly and supportive , great tshirt which you can actually wear after as opposed to the cotton ones.
Nice slab of home made cake and a coffee after , showers would be good but you can't have it all.
Well done Watford for organising a great event , I will be back.

In short: Perfect!
In full: Lovely country route through lots of woody areas. Organised perfectly. No complaints. And happy to not have a medal for a technical t shirt. Would have liked something to munch on at the end but did see lots of people carrying asics carriers so maybe i missed out?

Wasn't hilly more undulating. 2 possible hills but no more than 1-2 mins running each and long drags down after. I got a PB.
I chatted to a guy on the way back to the station training for a duathlon... please add me on facebook if you see this!

I'll be doing this race again, for sure.

In short: Hilly but great fun, well-organised and friendly.
In full: I had a great time running the half-marathon this morning, despite the cold weather. The course was a good mix of town and country running with some demanging, but not impossible, hills. The marshalling was fantastic - plentiful and cheerful and always ready with the vital, encouraging lies of "looking good" and "not far now"! There is a great, flat, 500m-long finishing straight (if you have the legs left).
All-in-all, a great way to spend a February morning.

In short: A hilly half but good field and great organisation - beautiful scenery too
In full: I love the Watford Half - Watford may sound like the least glamourous place to knock out 13.1miles but you quickly leave the town and find yourself in beautiful countryside on traffic free roads.

The organisation was top quality - bright and cheery marshalls who will generously lie to you about how strong you're looking at mile 12....

I wish they'd do a medal to add to the collection but you get a t-shirt and a real sense of achievement having completed this tough course. I'm looking forward to my second attampt this year!

In short: Great finish line
In full: I would hesitate to follow common opinion on medals; they end up in that drawer in the kitchen (you know the one I mean) Rather, a breathable t-shirt for running would be preferred (Mudman race is a perfect example). The race itself was well organised and the marshalls and water stations were fine. Only small gripe is that the bags should have been prepared and drinks more easily available at the finish. Still, definitely doing it next year.

In short:
In full: This was my third Watford HM since 2007, and probably will not be my last, and also my fastest. I tjhink it is one of the toughest local HM in the area.

The use of the marques instead of the colosseum was brilliant and worked a real treat. Actually I prefered them to the colosseum. Great marshalling and fab support at varous postions around the course.

Only downside for me were the runners who ignored the organisers pleas for no headphones. If you wear headphones you must be totally aware of whats going on around you. There were a few occasions where headphone runners had no idea that there were other runners in their vicinity. A bit selfish, but this should not detract from a great organised run
