In short: What a race
In full: Bit concerned as this was my first marathon and i'm pretty sure i'll never find a another to top it! This was the the toughest experience of my life in what was physicaly and mentally testing to put it mildly! The spectators and marshalls were different class in what was pretty atrocious weather conditions! Will certainly be back for more next year and hopefully manage to run all the way up the last and never ending hill! Feel quietly proud just to have completed it! Oh yeh, never tasted tea and cookies so good in all my life! What a buzz!!!

In short: Cracking race this year!
In full: Really thought it might be cancelled but so so chuffed it went ahead! My 4th Snowdonia. Experienced this race in full glory of sun and calm in contrast to this years wet n wild affair and no matter the conditions the race is fantastic and I even managed a course PB by 9 minutes doing 3.32.

I was in awe at the support from people even in the remotest and wildest of spots stood on top of hills cheering us on, drenched to the bone and no doubt freezing, maximum respect!

In fairness to the organisers in response to the critiscisms about lack of facilities/ organisation, the weather impinged on options here as well as normally they'd have tents/ areas erected for baggage in addition to tea and bickies and changing facilities.

Anyone thinking of doing this ...in the words of that well known sports co... Just do it! You never know you might just hit lucky with the weather but even if it blows and rains like this year you won't regret one step!

The tougher the conditions the greater the achievement, well done to all who toughed it out this year!

In short: Weather was awful but suppose you should expect that.
In full: Been thinking of doing this for a few years and im sorry i waited so long. The first 4 is tough but then that hill at 21 wot a killer.Lost my trainer in mud at 24 managed to dig it out tho, just wot you dont need but to be honest it just made a great event more memorable.A big thanks to all the marshalls and supporters to stand out in that weather you deserve a medal.i never knew it could hurt as much coming down hill as going up, i do now tho, hope to be back next year.

In short: The worst weather ever in 75 marathon todate including a few mountain marathons
In full: the first time I have ever been pysically unable to run against the sudden wind gusts that left myself and many others hanging on to the stone walls for suport. On the last decent blown over 3 times as I ran; I ended up walking down. The runners seemed to cross side to side of the narrow open to traffic roads for no logical reason; needs a prerace stonger briefing and marshalling before some one is run over.

In short: Could not imagine why anyone would want to run a city race, absolutely brilliant!!
In full: The only full marathon i have run, this was my second time and managed to knock 27 minutes off my last effort, guess i knew what was coming this time ! Support from marshalls and supporters was second to none, certainly helped me through. Very difficult course but very achievable with plenty of training, the bad weather just makes it even easier to remember !

In short: A wonderful experience.
In full: My first marathon and it was a wonderful experience. As long as you do (loads) of hill training I can not imagine a better environment to run in. Incredible marshal support through the gales and rain, thank you. Can't wait for next year already.
