In short: One of my favourite events of the year
In full: Another enjoyable event (my third time running), so thanks to everyone who helped. Was concerned about the change in month, but the weather was perfect. I love the 'local' atmosphere of this one, with the beer tent, bbq and cakes, tombola, bouncy castle etc. My young kids also love doing their short run. Not necessarily the most 'professional' event, nor the most exciting goody bag (or lack of!), but it doesn't matter as it is just very enjoyable. Hope to be here again next year.

In short: Fantastic hill at the start. After that its plain sailing
In full: I thought the hill at the beginning was great. Got the legs working. After that it was flat and the last KM was all downhill and pure speed. Nice scenic route and also fine weather to top it all off. Definately be back for this one.

In short: loved the course - gets the hill out of the way at the start and has a very welcome downhill section at the end.

In short: Lovely rural jaunt to start off a Sunday morning. Top hill at start to warm up the legs!
In full: This was my first race outside of having done the Nike Human race. Nice friendly atmosphere, great weather and a slightly smaller field (300?) made it a complete pleasure to take part in. The first 1k hill is a bit of fun; but I guess it spreads everyone out pretty well. Looks like a good one for families with the 3k race taking place after the main 10k. Will definitely do again.

In short: Good 10k with a nicely challenging 1k hill!
In full: Well organised local race with apparently over 300 runners. Good atmosphere and the crowd at the finish heartily cheered everyone home! Absolute beginners may struggle with such a big hill right at the start but other than that the route is great. One appeal to the organisers for next year - please could we have a bag tent for kit?

In short: A nice run in the country!
In full: A really nice run in rural surroundings. Some people have suggested there should be more water but be honest, there were two stations so how much do you expect on a 10k? The hill for the first km is indeed a killer (worse than the Wycombe Half?) but from then it's enjoyable. I'll definitely be back next year...
