In short: Great, well organised race that provides an excellent course
In full: Enjoyable race on a cold windy day - amazing that they managed to organise it so well, with so many people and limited access to the HQ. Fantastic marshalls all round the course.

In short: Thanks Bedford - good job
In full: First class organisation and great support from the marshalls. Buses & hall were fine for me. Can't understand some of the moans - come on guys - get there early!
PB course despite the hilly parts.

In short: Enjoyable rural half marathon made challenging in places with some hills and s stiff wind, great marshalling but would have preferred bottled water instead of plastic cups at the drinks stations.

In short: Nice race, but before and after (parking) could be better
In full: The race is nice, not too challenging (climbs are not too steep and the end is mainly downhill and flat with the wind likely to push you as well) in a typical middle-England countryside.
People are friendly and it is mildly competitive with a fair amount of clubbers and enthusiasts. Organisation (of the race) is very good and although there are a few queues for bags, chips... they move quickly.
Would do it again if it wasn't for the awful parking arrangements. The coach that picks you up leaves you another mile walk away from the race HQ and on the way back it stops several times with no information given whatsoever about where you are and if you should get off here or there. took me 50 minutes to get back to my car after getting off at the wrong spot!
Fix the parking and I'll come back otherwise I might not bother...

In short: Challenging race, very good organisation and marshalling
In full: Interesting course with lengthy uphill sections followed by some fast downhill. The level of organisation was generally first class, and the atmosphere was friendly. The bus transfer to and from the car park turned out to be very efficient.

The venue was a cramped for the number of runners involved (I am thinking of the school hall and the baggage collection) - could this be spread out a bit more? There was no goody bag: some other reviewers liked the cagoule memento, but I found this a bit disappointing. However these are minor gripes for what was a very good race.

In short: Despite the climbs, the downhill sections made this (for me) a pb run. Couldn't fault the organisation, an enjoyable event. Will be signing up next year.

In short: A great race organised by the Bedford Harriers
In full: A really nice race, good mix of abilities and a great race to finish the year. There were lots of marshalls at the start and all the way around the course who were very supportive, so thanks goes out to you. A couple of up hill sections and a great down hill at 9 ish miles. I will try and do this again at some point as I was impressed with the whole feel of this race.

In short: Lovely half-marathon
In full: A lovely way to end the year with a warm glow. Despite the grumps I didn't have any problems at all. No queues for stuff, bus transport worked brilliantly, the walk from the bus drop off to the school wasn't too taxing, loads of loos, the timing pens all seemed to work ok, nice memento, plenty of water stations, loads of cheery marshals and a truly undulating course in a pretty area. Obviously a lot of care and attention had been put into the race, some of it at great cost to the event to ensure everything went smoothly. And it worked, definitely one to put in the calender.
