In short: My 17th run in a local race, reliable organisation and sunshine.
In full: The Bushey Festival Quarter has earned a place in my calendar, despite the heat and the hills. Very friendly atmosphere and a good setting for a post-run picnic. Changing to the morning was a good move; now, PLEASE, some portaloos.

In short: Pleasent race, worth doing
In full: The race as a whole was good, the marshalls need to be a bit more on the ball, and know the difference between turn right and straight on (got sent the wrong way)

In short: A good morning out
In full: Very good weather and a pleasant start/finish location. Good organisation when I entered on the day. Route variable - some nice bits but also running along some roads with traffic. Nice family atmosphere with a couple of fair rides and children's races.

In short: Doesn't appear great, but improves once you get going
In full: Living 5 minutes away and knowing the hill and roads I was not expecting a fast time, but surprisingly I achieved 4 minutes better than expected. Need to be aware that not all of the roads are closed and you come across typical London traffic 'Selfish!!' Could also do with some more toilets at the start. All in a good race though.

In short: Excellent, well organised and good value - AND I got a massive PB!
In full: This is a top quality event. Challenging course, looks of reviews saying this was very hilly but I managed to break 5k and 10k PBs en route. A little better organisation regarding the start would be the only slight negative. Goody bag contained a t-shirt and medal and all this for less than a tenner. I'll be back next year Bushy - top draw.

In short: Friendly race, undulating run, good organisation
In full: Good organisation, reasonable course, up at the start and particularly near the end but decent times achievable. Could do with some more toilets though, very few available. Will try to return next year. Thanks to the organisers.

In short: Good for grown ups and kids alike
In full: Second year doing this and over 5 mins faster (was recovering from hernia last year!) Bang on time start, and the same fantastic level of marshalling as last year throughout the course. Again, big thanks to everyone on the water stations, I did try to say thanks as I ran past, honest. The hill into town on close to the end was a real sapper, but the very end part was down hill..so rather nice.
What made this stand out for me this year though was the kids races. I have a daughter 9 and son 5, who both did the 0.75 fun run...(and I ran with both) and all I can say the support and enthuasim fron the crowds in those short races were something else.. both of them were flagging towards and the cheering and encourgement really helped them both, with the youngest going for an hilariously funny sprint finish....what made the whole day worth while though was my daughter in the car home saying she would really love to take up running " properly" as she enjoyed today so much.....thanks to everyone who was involved in this event....heres to next year!

In short: where to hide on this one!
In full: harder than it looks, low key event, but cheap and cheerful which is what matters. the sun foiled earlier start.
