In short: challenging but a must for your diary
In full: Fantastic, challenging well organised race.
As many have already mentioned, excellent pre race information, friendly and encouraging marshalls, ample supply of drinks, jelly babies and orange segments en route. Excellent post race cakes beer etc. Only a couple of negatives, toilets in school leave alot to be desired! The Snack Van at the HQ at the end seemed to be overwhelmed by the amount of people that wanted a cup of tea after running 15 miles! maybe he should have had to urns heating up water!

In short: Love it
In full: Despite the weather, which was changeable to say the least, it was great fun. Last years race was a dust bath, this years a mud bath in places, still it made it interesting.

Clockwork organisation, chip timing, race started on time, route was undulating, with hills at the end to challenge tired legs, but a great and fun race.

Friendly and encouraging marshals, lots of water stations and jelly babies all the way around, so you were never far from a smile and enouragement.

Better still I finished with a silver medal, so incredibly pleased.

In short: My third - won't be my last.
In full: Without doubt the best race in the local calendar. Great organisation, beer, magnificent cakes, a brass band - how very English! This is an absolute must for every runner.

In short: Excellent. Scenic, well organised, very friendly, enjoyable and BEST refreshments!!
In full: Loved this race. did it once before in 2010 and today's was just as good. Everything worked like clockwork and marshals and helpers at the end were very very friendly. Enjoyed the rapport with other runners and love the scenery. As others have commented, the cake and beer available at the end were terrific. I had to limit the beer to just a taste, as I was driving, but was made a lovely cup of tea by one of the volunteers! Definitely recommend this, although it is deceptively tough, especially as the hills only appear at the end! Well done to all the team, volunteers and those involved in organising the event. So appreciated!!
