In short: Flat and fast 5 miler with Olympics style track finish.
In full: Nothing really stands out about the race. It was wet and slippery going around many of the tight corners. I saw one runner go down ahead of me. It is very flat and with a bit drier conditions, you could push harder.

In short: Charming local race
In full: What can I say? even the weather decided to smile on this race. The organisation was smooth and friendly, the course was pleasant and the marshalls were really friendly and supportive.

In short: Well Organised friendly race
In full: Very well organised race, plenty of marshalls who were all very friendly. Good start and finish on the track was also good. I would certainly do this race again. Very well done all round.

In short: Good value for money!
In full: My first time running in this event and for the entry fee there really aren't any complaints for me to find. Getting changed in the club house, warm up on the track itself, Start the race and run on the pavements sharing the road areas with a few cars but its still well marshalled who shout encouragement to all runners not just their running club members. All mile markers matched my garmin (ok i went seven seconds into a mile 6?) but more accurate than other races i've entered?

The heavy rain today meant there were alot of big puddles that at times turned this road race into a steeple chase but you can't hold the organisers responsible for this?

If you want a short and quick blast of the legs you cant go too wrong here whatever your running standard.

In short: good morning Perivale
In full: It was good to go back to an area that I once knew well...good event - it was my first 'short' race - a lot 'clubbier' than my previous experiences with halves and marathons...but this got me moving a little quicker than usual - to run with a quicker group improves you...well done Ealing - very well organised - did we actually start early??

In short: Not a scenic course but very fast
In full: Moaned to myself as I went through the first mile. Typical I thought, the first marker is in the wrong place. By the time I'd reached the running track finish, I'd shut up. Could all the markers be in the wrong place, or had I just taken 30 secs off my PB?

Whatever the answer, I'm keeping tight lipped.

Might sneek back next year for this one.

In short: Enjoyed it - sunny if cold, very well organised, liked the finish on the track
In full: Really well organised - I generally prefer club races because the marshalling and distance markers are better and this was an excellent example. Start not great, then quite a bit of the distance on fairly dull pavements and back streets (and 2 laps doesn't make for great scenery), but more pleasant around the golf course and great finish on the track. Decent goody bag but would have liked a memento rather than just edibles and a towel. I would need to be further on in my training for a PB to be likely but suspect the course would help - very flat, not many tight turns.

In short: Great, well organised race. Flat and fast.
In full: Very well marshalled and friendly atmosphere. Lots of club runners which intimidated me at first as I'm a slow runner but they were all very friendly and applauded late finishers. Will definately be back next year to see if I can finish not so far at the back! Well done Fiona and her team.
